Article and podcast suggesting support for Android Auto and Apple Carplay diminishing

It seems like a gross exaggeration to me to say that car makers are abandoning Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. As the video notes, Tesla and Rivian never supported them, so their continued lack of support is not diminishing or abandoning support. GM is the only maker that I know of that had support and abandoned it. Aston Martin and Hyundai/Kia/Genesis announced support for the new CarPlay Ultra. Have any other car makers indicated that they will no longer support CarPlay and Android Auto in the future? I haven't heard such announcements.

I was trying to explain to one of the Lucid techs the need for AA & CarPlay even if it's not a good implemenation. Every user knows what they are getting into and how to use it. It allows manufacturers to release a less-than-ideal experience with native systems. When you're forced onto native, the experience never feels as good (at least in my experience) unless the system itself has been developed over time for the better part of a decade - aka Tesla.
