Hello owners,
My beautiful AT was in an accident last week and the other party's insurance (AllState) accepted liability. There is only one Authorized Body shop in DFW (Park place) and I went there for the repairs. They tell me that they expect the car to sit in shop for 3-4 weeks.
Anybody has experience with AllState claims for Lucid? Their initial estimate seems to be very low. Also they continue to give me trouble for a rental car as they say they can only cover up to ~$25 per day but the on-site Enterprise has no cars available for that price. I called up the claims guy and they asked me to go to other Enterprise locations scouting for cars at their price. They refuse to put me in a rental that is atleast reasonable (if not comparable) to a Lucid Air, and claim that they are only liable for a car that can take me from point A to point B. Is that true? The experience so far has been terrible to say the least.

I don't know where you are but the claims sounds fishy. Their insured caused the damage and you are entitled to reimbursement and a $25 rental car for a luxury vehicle is certainly not that. It is possible, but not likely, that the insurance policy limited the reimbursement amount but that usually is for the owner's own use, not damage to another and Allstate is probably trying to pretend that applies to third parties as well. If it did limit the amount, the insured would then be liable for the difference. I would give them a week and then sue the bastards (but the suit wouldn't cost me anything as I am a retired litigator).

That is what I guessed too. I am in the Dallas-Fortworth, TX area. I see no reason for me to drive a Toyota Corolla while I make payments on my Lucid Air and it sits idle in a shop for no-fault of mine.

We insured our 2025 Touring through Allstate. Not too long after owning it it was hit by someone, with significant damage to the front end. Was able to drive it home (mostly highway) with a brake system warning and the left side of the bumper pretty close to the ground. Made it fine at reduced speed (55 mph) and the warning disappeared next time I got in it.

Contacted Allstate, and they gave some ridiculous estimate ($1600ish - got a check a few days later) saying that they did not have the parts in their database, and don't worry, it will be covered. Took it to one of their (Allstate and Lucids) "preferred" body shops which was fortunately close by. Also found out that we did not opt for rental car as part of our insurance, but we managed with one car for the time it was in the shop (they did offer a discount, but I did not feel paying around $50/day as we could make it work).

Long story short, a bit less than two months later car was back and Allstate covered it all by paying the body shop directly about $35k (we had to pay our deductible plus the $1600 to the body shop at pickup). Amount of time aside, I was very pleased with the whole process and the work done. Would not want to go through it again though if I could help it.

Have your insurance fight for more on the rental and do not forget to fight for depreciation. If your insurance doesn’t help fight for you, have an attorney reach out to the at fault insurance. A simple letter will typically make them jump and cover everything including full rental.

Is it not an option to go with your own insurance rather than dealing with the other party insurance? You are not their customer so I don't expect them to serve you very well. Ideally, if you have enough coverage, you may go with your own claim and let your insurance deal with the other party's insurance to recover all your expenses, including rental. You will never know how much coverage the other party has and how statefarm will deal with if you exhaust everything. Going with own insurance can keep you out of all the pain in dealing with the other insurance, or going behind their assets. I am assuming that your premium won't go up if you are not at fault and use own insurance (check how this works in your state).
