Just got so lucky with my order

I have nothing but respect for your approach to sharing the joy and excitement of the Lucid with your son. He sounds like an amazing young man who already appreciates the privileges you provide (not all young people do at that age). Moreover, as a neuroscientist, you understand the concern I shared, which is a healthy counterweight to just handing over the fob and walking away!

Congratulations on the new addition to the family. You will LOVE the car every time you get in it. 😊

Definitely won’t be happening haha.

We just got our 22y daughter a Honda Civic. Pricing, Insurance costs and the extreme horsepower found in the Lucid are all factors in the decision. She definitely does not want to drive the AGT because of the costs (nervous about damaging it) and there is no way in hell our 19y son would be allowed to drive it.

Yup. My son doesn't know it yet but he's getting a brand new to him Toyota or Civic that when you press down hard on will produce no more than 150hp. My dad's no. 1 lesson to me was that the road is a shared space...I must share the privilege. Eventually I learned that the number 1 piece of advice is that .the guy in the rear view doesn't matter...lol..I kid
This is the right choice. My kids are 29,17 and 16. I also remember when i was 16/17. Do yourself a favor and get an old Corolla or civic that you can simply dump if they wreck it. Plus they will be less likely to get hurt or hurt someone with low power.

My first car was a 25 year old RWD manual BMW. Wouldn't have it any other way. As a car guy dreaming to get his license from when I was 10 years old, I would have shot myself having to drive a Corolla everyday.
