Yay, Tesla charging … July 31!

Thanks @DeaneG . That is my exact screen as well. I think our screen look this way is because we still have some free charging left. @borski does not

No, that should not matter. Actually, maybe it is because @DeaneG and I still have some free EA charging, and @borski does not.

Lease return excess wear & tear

Words matter is EXACTLY what you were saying @Impatient7536 . Thank you for saying this. After reading @WildRide47 post, I did not have a freaking clue what he was talking about. Your first post was spot on and universal corporate best practice. And corporate legal as well. If people here...

Yay, Tesla charging … July 31!

Sorry I was not clear. Both are listed as included charging network providers. For EA, it says P&C charge service active. For Tesla, it says P&C charge service is inactive, ands then says: Lucid mobile app authentication available. So, I guess if I plug in at a SC, and open my Lucid app, there...

Yay, Tesla charging … July 31!

Thanks M, My Lucid app, under Service Summary, shows "P&C inactive" and "Lucid Mobile App Authentication Available" I am guessing it safer to also have the Tesla app set up on the phone, just in case.

Yay, Tesla charging … July 31!

Asking about the status on using just the Lucid App for Air charging at a SC? Possible? Having read MANY pages here, it SEEMS that the only successful way to charge at a V3 or V3.5 SC is to: set up the Tesla app on your phone, and add your Lucid, add payment, plug in at a SC and then use the...

I think @marqie said they were working on it. Same for me.

    2.8.0 Software Update

In my two years on this forum, this seems like Deja Vu all over again. 😳 Every 6/9 months. Angst over an update. Of the possible virtures of EV car ownership, patience is not one of them. I wonder if there is an uptick in antidepressants or alcohol sales when Lucid announces an OTA but does...

Points. Got it Friday. But like @Babyrocko1908 , I am a night owl, got the email from lucid at midnight and ordered at 12:05 am. I really guess that it is first come first served. Lucid just wants them out there. Selling a shit load of adapters ain't going to raise the stock price.

Actually, nothing was "wrong" with what Lectron said. As a lawyer, they should have said: certified to meet UL standards. As @DeaneG said, there is no way UL or ETL can test everything. That's why there are several highly regarded NRTLs. Like SGS. The real fraud is when weirdo Chinese...

Yay, Tesla charging … July 31!

@EVCar , this is a worm hole I have been down personally. getting electronics approved under CE for use in the EU. It costs MANY thousands of dollars to get a product certified under UL or ETL. And UL and ETL are themselves NRTLs! Trust me but just saying so does not ALWAYS make it so...

Yay, Tesla charging … July 31!

But how much more?? "Collaborated closely" sounds like the ultimate marketing term. Like Jumbo shrimp. Full of sound and fury, but ... Watching the video, it looks like Ford engineered the adapter and Lectron was just the middleman/broker/China agent arranging the manufacturing and assembly...

Yay, Tesla charging … July 31!

Lectron could very well be simply a marketing company. Most companies selling china products in the US are just that. Could be that both Lectron and Lucid (and others) go to the same actual real manufacturer in China. I have contracted for manufacture for electronic goods in China. Each...

Lucid added as "coming soon" on Tesla SC network

I think by saying it is not a smart adapter, he was saying the adapter does not recode or translate the handshake from the SC to Lucid, only pass through. I have read that the newer modern Tesla (v3/4) and our non-Tesla handshake protocols are quite similar. That said, I have opened up dumb...
