You're probably right that I'm under-appreciating the frunk space of Air. My 2017S (AWD) has a pretty minimal frunk and I don't use it for anything, really, besides spare cables and an emergency tire pump. As a result it gets opened only a couple of times a year and is never used for "normal"...

Oh, Porsche is also an alternative. I have liked the look of the Taycan and the all-new one could be interesting, especially in a Cross Turismo version. But they are small. But if Gravity drifts into 2026, the new electric Cayenne could also come into play.

My guess is that some part of the design or certification of certain components was necessary to apply for CARB and held up the ability to even put in the application.

@borski - forgive me if this has already been answered, but what happens to your GT when you receive your DE? Will you keep both? Or are you trading it in for the DE? Or has it mostly just been a placeholder car while you waited for your "real" one?

I'm planning on doing a color change PPF. I am wondering if that will be better or worse if I drive it around for a bit first. Not knowing when this thing is going to arrive, plus just getting impatient while I wait, is a complicating factor.

How important is it not to drive it before applying PPF? Is it the risk of getting a chip that might show through the PPF or is it that the cleaning gets more complicated, possibly requiring a clay bar?
