Not quite how I’d put it. You’re pre-paying the depreciation Lucid forecasts over those three years, which may or may not match what actually happens. On a brand discounting this hard, a subsidised residual is likely, which means you may be paying for less depreciation than the car really takes...

Sure... probably... maybe... not taking the risk.

Honestly, even used, I'm terrified of EV depreciation. I still have PTSD from the deprecation on my Model Y Perf.

I'm aware of those and I'm not interested. Maybe the Ioniq 5 N but I don't love Hyundai interiors. I LIKE the Lucid, I don't love the missing feature. Gravity is growing on me though.

He can tell me potentially what the residual is on the pro package... if the additional lease cost isn't that significant than that's fine.

Right, so you're saying the Lucid Air is uncompetitive at the Touring trim level. LOL I doubt very much that they can't do it, they are choosing not to. Consumers vote with their feet. I'll probably still talk to my Lucid sales guy and see what his thoughts are, but dropping $85-$88K on an Air...

Good points, but they could offer lane centering at lower trim levels. Perhaps they don't want to alienate those who have spent large sums on the upgrades but not offering lane centering on the Pure and Touring for a reasonable price seems like a bad call. If it is indeed on the Gravity...

Great reply. However, my point still stands. There is no way to get lane centering on the Air without spending nearly $7K, other vehicles offer it for far less. Often included in packages that may come with many other things. All I can say is in the cars I am shopping, Lucid is not...

Yeah, we had a Model 3, it's too cramped for me.

I didn't drive the R2 for long enough to detect issues. I'll say this, I think I have more faith in them evolving their ADAS than I do Lucid. Maybe I am being unfair to Lucid, but that's my gut feel. I will also say, Rivian charges $2.5K for their autonomy platform that provides lane...

Indeed. I'm suggesting Lucid is just wrong here. All their competitors offer lane centering for far less.

This is part of the reason I am disappointed in Lucid's requirement to spend nearly $7K to get lane centering.

Agreed - That's why I didn't buy FSD, just have intermittently subscribed. Rivian provides quite effective lane centering right now on the R2, no future updates needed. I used it on the test drive, it seemed solid (not a full test of course). It even had lane change capability. So apparently...

Hey All. This is my first post on this forum, hopefully you guys don't hate me for it. I drove a 2026 Air about a week ago and loved the experience. I confess to being a bit on the fence with the styling, but it was much nicer in person. Lucid seems to be doing some great lease deals right...
