What could Lucid have done to make it more track focused? Flippant answer: offer a rear seat delete option like the Weissach package! Maybe call it the Newark package. On second thought, maybe not. It doesn't quite have the same ring to it.

IIRC, Lucid's rationale is that they want to limit the number of combinations to tune and refine; otherwise it's too many variables to calibrate. This is decidedly a different approach from other manufacturers, but I can understand where they're coming from.

I had the misfortune of having to deal with this rage inducing EA non-sense recently. Given the current sorry state, sticking with ICE cars or Teslas seems to be the rational move.

Yeah I think the free charging "perk" is actively harming the ecosystem today. EA already doesn't have enough functioning stalls. Giving out free charge to new EV owners further increases the demand when the supply can't keep up, and it's just making road trips more stressful/annoying.

Almost 4,000 miles. Just got my car back after replacing a creaky steering wheel assembly and driver side door cinch motor. There's still an intermittent rattle coming from the rear of the car that I couldn't quite pinpoint yet.

Couldn't agree more. Coming from Tesla supercharger, everything else is a major downgrade right now. It might be some people's idea of fun, but doing extensive planning for road trips is not my cup of tea. I just want to get in the car and start driving; I don't want to figure out a plan B and...

I have the same issue! My theory is that it's triggered by temperature/thermal expansion. So far it only happens after I leave the car under the sun for a bit. As a workaround, if I grab onto the door handle after the initial soft close, it'll prevent the door from trying to open again.

True. But given the current sorry condition of EA, I'm not sure if it makes a difference. If we can't use it, being free doesn't really help... I'd be more than happy to pay for a reliable, predictable charging experience instead of playing the EA charging roulette.
