    Sprint Mode

IIRC, Lucid's rationale is that they want to limit the number of combinations to tune and refine; otherwise it's too many variables to calibrate. This is decidedly a different approach from other manufacturers, but I can understand where they're coming from.

SF Bay Area to LA -- what's the best plan?

I had the misfortune of having to deal with this rage inducing EA non-sense recently. Given the current sorry state, sticking with ICE cars or Teslas seems to be the rational move.

Electrify America is enraging EV owners

Yeah I think the free charging "perk" is actively harming the ecosystem today. EA already doesn't have enough functioning stalls. Giving out free charge to new EV owners further increases the demand when the supply can't keep up, and it's just making road trips more stressful/annoying.

Forget efficiency - Drive faster for just $6 per month!

Oh yeah. ~10,000 miles here; holding steady at 2.8 miles/kwh.

Lucid Air 1/4 mile ET/mph master thread 😎

It'd be nice if we could include the state of charge as well. I'm curious about how much performance degradation will happen when the battery is at 50% or 25%.

Lane Departure Protection: Annoying at best. Hazardous at worst.

No second thoughts. As others have said, this "feature" can be downright dangerous.

A question for those with higher mileage Lucids

Almost 4,000 miles. Just got my car back after replacing a creaky steering wheel assembly and driver side door cinch motor. There's still an intermittent rattle coming from the rear of the car that I couldn't quite pinpoint yet.

    People taking photos

Depending on the location I guess. Yesterday I saw an agt at the local park around noon and another one at Starbucks in the afternoon. They are getting more popular now.

EA free charging is a joke.

Foreseeable future? I'm optimistic that we will see significant improvement in the next decade. In the next few months? Nah. Plan for the worst and hope for the best. Treat it like an adventure and you'd be ok.

Will EA be the death of EVs?

Couldn't agree more. Coming from Tesla supercharger, everything else is a major downgrade right now. It might be some people's idea of fun, but doing extensive planning for road trips is not my cup of tea. I just want to get in the car and start driving; I don't want to figure out a plan B and...

    2.0.50

I have the same issue! My theory is that it's triggered by temperature/thermal expansion. So far it only happens after I leave the car under the sun for a bit. As a workaround, if I grab onto the door handle after the initial soft close, it'll prevent the door from trying to open again.

    EA Megathread

Ouch. I was there 2 weeks ago and was getting ~200kw at peak.

Will EA be the death of EVs?

True. But given the current sorry condition of EA, I'm not sure if it makes a difference. If we can't use it, being free doesn't really help... I'd be more than happy to pay for a reliable, predictable charging experience instead of playing the EA charging roulette.

    How to report navigation issues?

My experience with the built-in navigation system has been quite frustrating. So far it has routed me to the wrong location in 3 separate instances (residential addresses in Irvine, CA, Los Gatos, CA, and business address in Lake Forest, CA). I'm at the point where I'm mostly relying on Google...

    Discussion on 20” wheels

If we're talking about performance, I assume this is in the context of track days/quarter mile time/0-100-0 that kind of thing? I haven't seen any data yet. My butt dyno says they're totally adequate, but I don't have any numbers to back it up.

Finally, my review! 2000+ mile road trip

Thanks for the trip report! I also noticed the poor navigation. Comparing to Google Maps/Tesla, it seems less accurate and 1 step slower.

Help!! I Have a Reservation But I Don't know if I should Purchase a Lucid Air Touring!

I wouldn't do it if I were you. Not being able to charge at home is a major PITA. It's not worth the hassle to charge it at a public charging station every single time, especially with the current inadequate infrastructure. Yeah I think that's the biggest issue with Lucid today. They have an...
