    New to me Air GT

Did you purchase it without a test drive? Pretty awful to have it happen on your first drive.

    Second row folding fail?

I believe the OP is referring to a version where the middle seat folds down which is used for things like skis while still retaining useful second row seats. Some high end cars have this and some do not. The folding head rest is for better sight lines if no one is sitting there.

According to InsideEVs there is a 35% difference: https://insideevs.com/features/343231/heres-how-to-calculate-conflicting-ev-range-test-cycles-epa-wltp-nedc/#:~:text=As%20a%20rule%20of%20thumb,about%2035%25%20higher%20than%20EPA.

It depends upon which combination of features is important to you. For performance...Look at the BMW X5, for example. For cost, look at the Mazda CX90. A total range of 900 miles on the Chinese system is equivalent to a range of 600 in the US. Total range of a PHEV is primarily determined by...

Photos (or Video) of the 5-Seat Gravity Cargo Area?

I have had HUDs for years and they always show a reflection if I am driving into the sun. But most of the time I don't notice it as my brain has adjusted to it. Given the necessary cutout in the dash, I don't see any way that the reflection can be completely eliminated.

    How to access camera views?

Some cars allow this but most do not. Neither my current car nor any of my prior cars allow this.

    Too Frustrating

But it is the only auto parking feature I care about. I can park my own car but every now and then some ahole will park so close to me that I can't get into my car (especially now that I have a non functional right knee -- I am scheduled for a replacement knee in late September). So the dumb...

Car and Driver Comparison Gravity vs Escalade IQ

I wish this were true but IMO it is only true for a subset of EV buyers. The committed EV buyer does research and knows what is out there in a given size, power, luxury and range. But, unfortunately, there are many drivers who simply will always buy from the same company that they have always...

Car and Driver prototype drive of Porsche Cayenne EV

Porsche doesn't need one pedal driving. Porsches and many other EVs (e.g., BMW and Genesis) use a blended braking system. Under a blended braking system the initial depression of the brake pedal invokes regeneration. Only a hard pressure or a very fast pressure invokes the friction brake...

Regen levels across all driving modes

The challenge is not getting it up to 50, it is how to get it DOWN to 50.

Lucid Air vs. BMW I4 E40

From Motortrend: "Who’s doing it better, then? “By far and away, Hyundai and Kia,” Licata said. He praised the EV designs being brought to market by Hyundai Group for being compelling and attractive, punching above their relatively budget-friendly weight. Licata also has kind words for the...

Car and Driver Comparison Gravity vs Escalade IQ

I didn't say "no change". I said no stupid change simply for change's sake. If we had no change we would be walking knee deep in equine feces on our roads.

Car and Driver Comparison Gravity vs Escalade IQ

There absolutely needs to be a balance between too many switches and buttons and two few and where they are placed. To me it is a matter of identifying those features that one might want to adjust while driving and providing a button or switch for it and putting the rest on the info screen...

Car and Driver Comparison Gravity vs Escalade IQ

But if by minimalist one means everything on the info screen, put me down for opulence/decadence. I have always loved Scandinavian design but what is happening with car companies that describe this as "minimalist" is bull. It is just the cheapest way to set up the car. Taking my eyes off the...

    Hands Free - Observations...

I don't want to steal this thread but I saw an interesting driving experience this morning. I was behind a Waymo. My road was a one lane in each direction road with a bike lane alongside. There was a bike rider in the bike lane. Since there is a separate lane for bike and car I am sure that...
