Nice! I wonder how many other Lucid Hams there are out there?
In case you are worried about EMP, here is a pix of vacuum tube ARC-5's from WW II in a car.
I use the kind of suction cup that has a lever to remove the air. Its fairly reliable and has only come loose once, when I brushed a bush in my driveway. The parts are coated metal or plastic and caused no damage.
I'm also a ham. I have a 2025 Air PURE. My IC - 208H works well sitting behind the screen, fed with 12V from the trunk. I solved the antenna problem by using a suction cup from an old HP GPS mount. Thin coax is fed through trunk lid seam. All works better than the 6 M Saturn 6 Halo on my 56...
V2L should be much easier than V2H, uses some similar parts, and would be very useful to run a Refrig. during a power failure. Why not do it first?
The Gravity already has the needed technology available.
Great photo! I had mine delivered to my driveway from Miami via enclosed trailer (included in original $1500 delivery charge). That's me in the photo at the left with my 56 Merc. and Ham radio antenna. My Lucid has a more modest Ham antenna.
I only use the key fob, so wired in a larger...
I have a 2025 Pure on Hilton Head, and also no lease. Best parts of car are drive, library quiet, appearance, and all the cameras to help get in/out of parking spaces and garage. Worst parts (NOT deal killers) are flakey key fob and door handles not always popping out when pushed in. The car is...
I've noticed somethig similar with my fob. I have passive unlock turned off.
Sometimes pushing front or rear driver side handles works, other times it does not. I can see the yellow light blink when its going to work. When the driver side fails, I have better luck with the passenger side...
I think you may be correct. But that then suggests that there may be a muzzling clause in the contract.
As I said before, I have found ways around the issue, in order to enjoy this great car, but it refelects poorly when others see it.
