RESOLVED "Passive Unlock is temporarily disabled”

I never enabled my mobile key. Two things are 100% certain: 1 - A significant number of people are having unlocking problems. 2 - Lucid has made no statement or done anything about it.

RESOLVED "Passive Unlock is temporarily disabled”

Yes. The door handle only works sometimes. My fob (with a heavy duty large battery) works all the time to wake the car. Then I can use the door handle.

RESOLVED "Passive Unlock is temporarily disabled”

I recall that before I ordered my Lucid I had seen one in a driveway near me. I went up to the driver and asked how he liked it. He said he loved it, and was anxious to show me the inside. BUT, he could not get it to open with the fob. After a bit of fumbling, he found his phone and got it open...

RESOLVED "Passive Unlock is temporarily disabled”

Pushing the door handle only works about 1/2 the time for me. I need to push the fob button twice, which should be unlock, but is detected as once and that honks the horn. Then, pushing the door handle works.

    Android Auto Thursday

Very true! But I will have a larger screen, a better touch experience, and a better music player.

    Android Auto Thursday

I'm getting closer. I discovered that the 11 inch android tablet fit well into the glove box, and looked much sleeker, so I ditched the articulated cupholder tablet mount. This has the avantage of being able to close the center cover so that its the tablet is not such an obvious thing to steal...

    USB C Ports Acting Strange

Duncan: You have several options: 1 - If you are handy in checking the needed voltage, connector type and polarity, you can use the decoy cable approach that I mentioned. 2- You can buy a 12 V extension cable on Amazon and run it from the trunk to the front via the ski hole in the back seat...

    USB C Ports Acting Strange

Duncan: It turns out that USB power protocols have become quite robust, but complex, with the user having to request a voltage from the sender supply. There are many USB decoy or trigger boards available to do this. Unless you are handy with working or soldering to small devices, the method I...

Thanks Borski. That is very interesting information.

Lucid Air's Number One Software Issue?

Thanks: Then we should be able to have the following service with Lucid's OK: Send you fob to lucid or the manufacturer and pay a resaonable fee. The manufacturer or Lucid return the original Fob PLUS a new fob with buttons. Voila

    Android Auto Thursday

I have decided not to wait, and taken AA into my own hands. I decided that what I really wanted NOW was : 1- Access to waze, including voice directions through the car sound system; 2 - A good Music Player that played all 2500 pieces of my music through the car sound sytem, 3 - A responsive...

Lucid Air's Number One Software Issue?

Thanks. I'm still curious about how the phone acquires the security token, and if another device can be designed by another vendor (with a lttle API help from Lucid) to acquire it in the same way.

Lucid Air's Number One Software Issue?

Thanks much. If that is correct, it leads to several thoughts: The API rquests to Lucid's cloud are a likely source of delay. If the non lucid phone ues BLE to the car, it must have some security token it got from somewhere when the lucid ap was first set up. If that is correct, then another...

Confirmed Android auto coming before September 2025

I know how to bring about world peace! Just replace the firing keys at US, Chinese and Russian missle control centers with Lucid key fobs.

Lucid Air's Number One Software Issue?

I know that. But how does a virgin phone not made by lucid get to open the car? By what mechanism does , it acquire the needed security key? For example: A - Does it use its BLE to communicate with the cars's BLE or B - Does it use its cell transmitter to call Lucid central and Lucid central...
