    AC compressor.

I don't remember exactly when heat pumps were made standard, but this is probably mostly true. 2022 and 2023 Airs seem to be the ones with the faulty compressors.

Then I think they're mistaken or misspoke, as I'm pretty sure there is no conversion or retrofit offered for older Airs without the heat pump.

    AC compressor.

$5k or more just to have a little more winter efficiency does not seem worth it at all to me. These cars have more than enough range even in winter and the resistive heating performance is adequate, IMO.

    AC compressor.

Unless something has changed since my was replaced I highly doubt this. Attached is the the parts list from when my AC compressor failed. No mention of heat pump parts and noise/performance is the same as before.

    AC compressor failure

I'm really sorry to hear about your experience and that Lucid is expecting you to pay for repairs. I'd recommend any others that have experienced this and feel it's a legitimate safety concern to submit an NHTSA complaint (linked below). If it's really a repeatable and widespread issue Lucid...

Engineering Explained joining the Lucid Lemon Club

I'd argue my experience with the software side of things has been similar enough to Jason's, with some very persistent and frustrating issues throughout the years and a few notable mechanical failures. I was told by someone at Lucid I had a solid buyback case, but my request for any kind of...

20" Aero Wheel Caps Popping Out

Based on the photos it doesn't look like the aero cap is rubbing on the valve stem, but definitely something owners with 20" wheels should be aware of. I think at most that would just make that one section not seat properly, which is usually visually apparent, and not the center section.

20" Aero Wheel Caps Popping Out

This usually happens to mine any time I drive in excess of 100 mph. A little annoying, for sure, but unless you're really pushing it it's unlikely they'll completely detach. If you're planning on doing any driving over 120 mph I would recommend removing them, as they can potentially fly off.

    Need guidance on public charging

Your Gravity should have Plug and Charge available with Electrify America and Tesla Superchargers once you've added your payment info into your Lucid app, meaning you can pull up and plug into these stations without manual activation. If this is your first time road tripping your Gravity, I...

Out of Spec 3 Row EV race - Lucid Gravity driven by Kyle

We arrived to Key West with like to 25-30%, so we definitely overcharged in Key Largo. By the time we got to Miami it was clear we were 4th place, so we phoned it in a bit at the end. Nothing against Team Model X, but getting the X plugged in and charging is significantly easier than the IQ. I...
