    Can't download lucid motors app

What kind of phone? The current version of the app requires Android 12+, so 15 should be fine. It could be some hardware limitation though, for example the app no longer supports 32bit processors.

Waking up car is faster or it's just me?

    I heard it's because it's after 2PM on an odd-numbered Friday.

Lucid Revealing a New Gravity Variant at Monterey Car Week

It's not plastic down there. Remember, the battery pack sits right at the bottom of the chassis. Air (and I know Teslas and I assume other EVs) do have serious armor down there to prevent battery punctures. It won't stop a scratch from showing, but it's not going to hurt anything important if...

Lucid Revealing a New Gravity Variant at Monterey Car Week

Did you miss the chin scrape in that JerryRigEverything video today? 😆 I'm not sure what the underside of the Gravity looks like. Now I'm curious. I expected that it's flat and heavily armored, just like the Air? And yeah Rivian can have the serious offroad segment, but I do want my next car to...

Lucid Revealing a New Gravity Variant at Monterey Car Week

Some small touches like skid plates to protect what is otherwise plastic/composite might be nice. I'm curious because I'm thinking this might hint at what's to come for one of the Midsize models.

Lucid Revealing a New Gravity Variant at Monterey Car Week

If you want your axles high up against the chassis rather than in line with the centers of your wheels, you use portals (gearboxes to change the direction of torque) near the wheels. It gives you more center ground clearance without gigantic wheels.

What’s wrong with your Lucid today?

    My windshield is really dirty.

    Lucid API

My only thought is that Lucid's Protobuf use might be quite a pain to deal with in "Monkey C." If that is true, just be aware that Lucid also has a (somewhat more limited) plain HTTP/JSON API that would probably be easier. It's been a while since I looked at that one, but happy to help if you...

    2.8.0 Feedback Only!

Same here on the east coast. My best guess is it's having trouble determining which road we're on when there are overpasses or access roads close by. Nav systems lock onto a road and assume you're not teleporting, but maybe this safety system doesn't do that yet.

    Reverse Split

We're getting off topic here now, but: If you're ready to believe Lucid is misrepresenting or neglecting their logistics, is it any harder to believe one of the dozens of suppliers involved who was under contract to deliver some number of components was misrepresenting or neglecting their...

    Reverse Split

To be clear, this also doesn't change the infinitesimally small percentage of the company that you own. 1,000 shares out of 3,070,000,000 just becomes 100 out of 307,000,000. Still 0.00003%!

    DreamDrive Premium and HA

I believe Premium lacks (among other things) the B-pillar cameras, which are used for lane centering. You could surely compensate with other cameras, but that's a pretty big one.

    DreamDrive Premium and HA

Still a lot of work for a limited number of customers when they could just switch up the packages in the future. It's not just a matter of turning on a feature, they would have to practically build a whole new lane centering system to use the more limited set of cameras.

    DreamDrive Premium and HA

Well, can it? Maybe. Probably a worse version of it given fewer sensors/cameras. Will it be for current model years? Almost certainly not, there's no reason for Lucid to go through the effort to add a worse version of a feature people specifically didn't pay for. Might it be added to Premium...
