Lucid Air Grand Touring Gets Even Better for 2024

Making production limited makes people want it more and makes customers hit the "buy" button quicker. Just ask Porsche and Ferrari. They may be sold out if you think about it for a month. Or a week. They might actually sell less if they don't limit production.

    NACS Megathread

NACS is a better more elegant plug. Supercharger Network is Superior to every other network. Silverado EV 3WT has about 50% more battery. That gives it a huge advantage road tripping. This has nothing to do with the charging networks. Cybetruck is brand new and had specific charging bugs to...

Lucid produced 1,728 vehicles and delivered 1,967 vehicles during this period

Tesla Model S was production constrained through about 2018. When Taycan came out in late 2019 Tesla Model S was demand constrained and Tesla Model X became production constrained. This also coincided with introduction of Jaguar I-Pace in late 2018 and Audi E-tron in early 2019. Mach-e debut...

    West Palm Beach Gravity Event

I can't imagine Air sales not significantly expanding outside of the US. Even the footprint in Canada is quite small. And from what I understand the facility in Saudi Arabia will be an assembly not a manufacturing facility, for at least a while. Giving greater usage for Casa Grande. And...

Lucid Group, Inc. Announces Investment of $1.0 Billion by an Affiliate of PIF

That the House of Saud is on sound footing is hopeium. That such a fall would not affect Lucid is past laughable. They have a Pakistani Royal Guard they euphemistically call "trainers" because they don't trust their fellow Arabs. People sell all the time on very bad news as a stock crashes...

Lucid Group, Inc. Announces Investment of $1.0 Billion by an Affiliate of PIF

Fisker and Rivian aren't in the same league. Barely the same sport. Fisker has $140M on hand while Rivian has $9.4B on hand. Rivian has deep pocketed Angel Investor as well. Neither Al Qaeda nor ISIS are a threat to House of Bezos. If The House of Saud falls there will be panic among LCID...

Lucid Motors is stuck in a fight over the name of its Gravity SUV

All cars are indirect competitors to the Gravity. 2 Row Luxury Electric CUVs like Macan and Lyriq are NOT direct competitors. Luxury 3 row electric CUVs are direct competitors. The KiaEV9 is hard plastics and vinyl plus low performance with 300 mile range or good performance with low range...

Lucid Motors is stuck in a fight over the name of its Gravity SUV

We know that there ~6k people a year in North America that want a low slung Lucid sports sedan. We don't know demand for a Lucid crossover with really good ingress and egress, up to 7 seats and cavernous cargo space. And especially one with a native NACS port.

    Upcoming Rivian compact SUV

This would outpace Tesla's growth by 2 years. So far Lucid is not tracking Tesla's growth. In Tesla's 3rd year of production (2nd full year) it delivered 31,655 vehicles(Model S) In Lucid's 3rd year of production(2nd full year) it hopes to produce 9000 vehicles. Rivian hopes to produce...

    Upcoming Rivian compact SUV

Supposedly after the latest upgrades Lucid factory is capable of 90k units per year. Rivian had a production capacity of 150k units per year for R1T,R1S and EDV. Today they announced they are upgrading their Normal Illinois factory to produce 215k units per year. Which suggest R2 capacity...

    NACS Megathread

1)Ask 100 women over 60 to connect a Tesla to a Supercharger and then ask them to connect a CCS car to an EA station and ask them which they prefer. 2) GB/T or 750 kW charging capability is pointless here in the USA. Because demand charges will forever make 750 kW charging economically...
