Yes, I know I can do that but it’s just much easier with the streaming app (eg the music is just on without having to do any other steps and all my favorites are on the Home Screen).

No and this is different. I am not subscribing the car. I have another Sirius account that includes streaming on any Sirius app and so I am just using the Lucid's Sirius app as an additional streaming device. It has always worked perfectly, except it stopped working after the last update.
