I sold my car today. Called Customer Care to report the sale and see if there’s anything more I need to do to process the ownership transfer. Was on hold for 31 minutes before the system made me put in for a callback. Finally got that callback six hours later.

That scenario is theoretically possible, but in my experience the change in behavior is immediately noticeable as soon as the car begins to roll rather than hold. And at a busy pedestrian crossing, my attention would be on the crosswalk and the car’s movement, not on glancing down at the pilot...

He spends a lot of time talking about the Stop Mode setting changing from Hold to Roll, and his description of the issue is pretty dramatic. Mine also changes on its own once or twice a week, but while it is frustrating, I have never viewed it as being as ominous as he makes it out to be.

Only issue I noted this morning post-update was that all my SiriusXM favorites were gone. Had to set those up again, no big deal.

I'm a "hold" guy and find myself putting the car into park and resetting 2-3 times a week.

I live in Phoenix, so don't experience this issue locally, but the one time I drove in cold weather on the highway, in the winter on I40 in the Grants/Gallup area, there was definitely cold air leaking into the cabin on the driver's side. I didn't notice anything when not at highway speeds.

If this is true, the lack of mobile service in Phoenix is concerning. Most of my service here has been handled via mobile, and I believe the Scottsdale mobile team also supports New Mexico, so it’s unclear what the options would be for owners there. If mobile service is currently unavailable...

Just as a point of reference, I also have a November 22 Touring build and have been on .17 since it came out. It was made available to me pretty much as quickly as people starting posting about it in this forum.

With my warranty expiring at the end of 2026, I’ve been thinking about whether to move to a different car. This information gives me renewed excitement about what’s ahead and makes it more likely I’ll keep my current one. It also makes me feel better about the money I spent on the chip upgrade.

I’ve noticed with this release that my drive setting occasionally changes from Hold to Roll. I’ve seen this before right after a software update, but in this case it has switched on its own 3–4 times since moving to version 2.8.17. It’s not a big issue, just something I wanted to flag.
