My ‘25 AGT is Frickin’ AMAZING

I have 2023 model with 20k miles in just about 13 months. I have seen 4.5/kwh (summer) 3/kwh (winter) on longer drive. When used for local commute with frequent park (not slowdown or stop in traffic), the efficiency goes down - probably because car has to prep the battery every time

Hold mode - brake pedal kick

Thinking about it, you are absolutely right. So all I can say is it’s not happening with my car. So now I am also clueless as to why comes cars are having this issue. May be I am just lucky.

Hold mode - brake pedal kick

I would think/assume car is thinking you are going to stop if you are trying to roll at 1mph. I have never gone that slow. If I am driving at say 40mph and want to stop; I let go of accelerator and car goes on regen to come to a complete stop -without any jerks. if that’s same for you, then...

    End of Lease Experience

Remember to negotiate like you are buying a second hand car once the car is ready for return. The financing company will take a deal that is better for them like any dealership. Point to remember is one has to show the intent to walk away from the car if it’s not a good deal. At the end of the...

Hold mode - brake pedal kick

I have chosen “hold” Option and have never had the issue . So may be something you should check with service as the brake should release as soon as you accelerate. Never had the ABS chatter happen to me or may be I am too light on my accelerator.

    Winter Tire PSI

This is what pirelli website says which is where my concerns began. But if car manufacturer’s recommended level is very close to max psi (given weight of the car) then I probably the following doesn’t apply (as exception)?- WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU INFLATE YOUR TIRES TO THE MAX PSI? Your tires’ max...

    Winter Tire PSI

Thanks … door jamb sticker says 49. I had written to service folks using my app before I posted here. They haven’t responded yet. Most probably I will hear the same thing from them :-).

    Winter Tire PSI

@hydbob - Bob suggested i ask you this and luckily i found your post from months ago. Max capacity for stock tire (Pirelli PZero) by tire manufacturer is at 50PSI. i wonder why Lucid would choose this tire given that their recommended tire pressure is almost same as max psi. Reason i am...

    Regenerative braking

I have a dark road coming home and could watch reflection of tail light on reflectors in RV mirror. As Bobby said it doesn’t come on immediately but do light up as soon as deceleration is more than coasting in ice cars. On high regen though it comes if you completely take your foot off.

    Regenerative braking

Exactly. And I would rather not have car applying brakes as it doesn’t put power back into battery. Coasting at that time would be more energy efficient. I would personally like to apply friction brakes in my own than car unnecessarily (sometimes) braking causing unwanted wear on brakes.

    Regenerative braking

But then there has to be a sign somewhere on dashboard that indicates friction braking is on? Otherwise how driver will know if it’s regen or friction braking?

    Regenerative braking

I don’t think regen braking has anything to do with sensors. In simple layman’s terms, It’s just the same drive motor changing into a dynamo to generate energy when you let go of the accelerator. Regen is prevented and motor decoupled from drive, only if the battery cannot take anymore power...

Mileage experience after 5k miles on GT

I thought when it’s plugged in, the power is consumed directly and not routed thru battery. For ex when I sit in car and listen to music or cleaning, if the car is plugged in, the efficiency doesn’t change (KWs used doesn’t change on the trip side). If it’s not plugged in, it does change and kw...

Mileage experience after 5k miles on GT

Most of the vampire drain gets taken care when the car is plugged in. It’s true that it’s more efficient when the car is on charge until you are ready to drive. But if the car was fully charged, then it’s sleeping and the moment you unplug, the car has to still use up energy to prep the battery...
