I had a tough time opening it from the outside the first year I had the car, and I mentioned it at annual service. They adjusted and aligned the charge port door a bit, and it’s been flawless since then when I press the middle bottom. Worth an ask at your next service appointment.

I do the same but don’t like the fact that I’m looking down at the pilot panel and doing 2-4 actions on it (scroll, sort, select, search, etc.) As everyone else has said, poorly designed UI on both cockpit and pilot panels, especially if you’re using AA and CarPlay for navigation and phone but...

100% agree with this which will hurt existing shareholders after the RS and draws more interest from larger short selling institutions. I’m with you on how they are going to hit the 18-20k numbers. Doesn’t make any sense to me at the current monthly rate. I expected a big downward revision...

Works. Order of operations matter and had to use the Tesla app. Nice to have in a pinch on a road trip.

Wowee, that's one huge battery. "Max Range battery pack, which provides 205 kWh of juice" The truck weighs 4.2 tons!!! Very impressive 5.2 miles per kWh.

I'll be the first to report that I had phantom braking happen with the 2.8.0 hands free update yesterday. If you're affected by phantom braking, stay alert in DA mode. I hope they find the cause for this and fix ASAP.

Worked like a charm on the 405 in LA in stop & go traffic yesterday. I'm going to be driving to SD from LA this weekend on I-5 and expect it to work the entire route. Great feature for those of us that have to deal with traffic in our routes. On a sidebar - still got one phantom braking...

I've noticed nothing different but to be honest, I didn't really pay that close of attention before the change.

I have both AA and CarPlay. I did a recent 1500 mile roadtrip and AA was flawless. I truly believe the AA integration is better than the current CarPlay integration, but I’m biased as I use Waze and mostly Google apps on both 😜

This is interesting. Could it be height of the trucks that pass a deep shadow suddenly around the car while passing? That might also explain why it happens on slight curves as that deep shadow could “move” around the car. Interesting theory.

It happened a few times on straight, flat sections of the freeway also. I couldn’t pinpoint the scenarios as when I think it would happen, it didn’t, and then it happened when I was not expecting which made it scarier. The only anecdotal evidence I have was asking the GF in passenger seat...
