I think it depends on what you value the most.
Having owned a Tesla, a Rivian, and now leasing a Lucid, I find myself valuing technology more than sheer comfort.
The Lucid is great to drive. It is VERY quiet and comfortable just as a luxury sedan should be. Super stable at high speed. But...
Same issue with CarPlay after 2.7.0.
Even before 2.7.0, I’ve been having issues with Spotify as OP had stated. The car drives wonderfully but all these little annoyances are driving me nuts.
Got the update 2 days ago. The start up time has improved. I no longer need to wait 1 minute to shift to D or R.
New issue. I use CarPlay but use the native Spotify for music. The car now no longer remembers the source I was using right before I get out of the car and the default is CarPlay...
We were the only customer there when we picked up our car in March on a Tuesday. There was one more delivery after us that day. The delivery advisor said they’re busier in weekends because that’s when most people want to pick up their new car. And at end of the month because of the incentives.
Yes. Phone key is number 1 annoyance. No I don’t want and should not have to carry the fob instead. The phone and the fob should be equally reliable. If Tesla and Rivian are able to make their phone keys work reliably, Lucid should too.
Spotify disconnects everyday.
I also wish the steering...
One is from the app, when you actually click and get into the app. It’s showing the correct color. One is the widget. It’s showing the wrong trim and wheels.
My Tesla and Rivian widgets were able to show the matching car down to the details since day one.
Is the iPhone widget supposed to show a picture of a car with the same configuration as the real car?
My car is a Fathom Blue stealth with metal roof and 20” Aero Lite. The app is showing the correct car but the widget is showing a Fathom Blue bright with glass roof and 19” wheel.
Not as extreme as yours but there were a few instances that my window’s one-touch up and down didn’t work for like 10 seconds. I needed to hold the switch to close the window.
At first I thought I didn’t press or pull it hard enough but no. I pulled the switch with enough force. I tried a few...
There’s a little bit of motor noise on my Touring but not to the level that it bothers me. Maybe you should try driving another one?
I also have a lot of connection issues with WIRELESS Apple CarPlay. My work around is to do it WIRED. It’s a much more reliable connection.
Keep in mind that...
The software in the Lucid has really started to sour my ownership experience. Just speaking for myself.
I had a 2018 Model 3 as well and also a 2021 Model Y and a Rivian. None of them had this much software glitch than my Air.
The NVH of the Lucid is wayyyyy better than those 3 cars but the...
