Kia EV9 and Wallbox Quasar 2

Doesn't it seem like Kia has smartly partnered with a third-party to handle all the details of V2G and V2H? The announced price is pretty reasonable, although it doesn't include installation.

    Android Auto Thursday

Well, I missed Thursday, but I have to sadly report that when my son offered me his old iPhone, I accepted it. While I am now compatible with the rest of my family and CarPlay, I will miss the camaraderie of the Android Auto Thursday group.

Anyone know of bidirectional charging status?

Just have to say, this is a really useful discussion, even for a layperson to get an idea of the issues involved. I've been considering either buying one of the "unboxed, for-sale" LCHCS chargers on the promise of future L2H or an Ecoflow battery, RangeXchange Charging Adaptor, and the new...

    Prospective New Owner

I really, really like being able to pull in forwards to a charger. I can see repositioning where the charge port to the passenger side for compatibility, but having it in front is great.

    Dream Drive 2????

Yeah, I didn't buy FSD when it was offered at 2k at one point for owners of Enhanced Autopilot because I had all the highway assist that I needed. I cancelled my DDPro order at the last minute because I was concerned about rollout time - and I thought that base DD had lane centering thanks to...

    Dream Drive 2????

I'm surprised that they haven't offered a reasonable upgrade path to DDPro from DDPremium for those of us who anticipated that the rollout of DDPro features would be slow. Obviously, there are hardware requirements and Air Pure and some AT owners would not benefit, but you would think that they...

    Profile switching is buggy

I have similar issues. I'm the owner, but my wife is the principal driver, except when her chauffeur (me) drives her around. The profile detection gets it wrong for both of us. I can trace my use more easily. It is frequently when I first use the car after she has used it and it defaults to...

    Electrify America charging free?

From Customer Service yesterday, when I inquired about the pending $50 EA charge that didn't correspond to the receipt of $0:

Lucid vs Tesla self drive software

I still have my 2016 AP2 Model X. Tesla CEO he-who-shall-not-be-named, in all his wisdom, removed use of available radar in earlier models from the autopilot system. Now, I get the "blinded by the sun, etc..." errors all the time. Hard braking at 70mph? Check. I also prefer the braking...

Really, really favorable review of Hey, Lucid...

I have to confess that I haven't asked it about items in the manual. However, I have tried "Navigate to LAX (sometimes including "International Airport)" and "Navigate to Tom Bradley International Terminal" in what I think is unaccented English without any luck.

Really, really favorable review of Hey, Lucid...

Today, Green Car Reports posted perhaps the most favorable possible review of SoundHound's Hey Lucid and the transition from Amazon Alexa. Clearly, they didn't read this forum before printing the article. The only interesting thing is it does give some background to Lucid Motors' thinking behind...

Beyond the Charging Curve: What Are Your Real-World DCFC Speeds?

I think this is a really important point. I also use EA nearly exclusively except for rare occasions charging to 90 or 100% before a trip. I've lost a bit more than 1% in 21 months and <12k miles. The flip side of a conservative charging curve is how good my AT is on battery degradation.

Beyond the Charging Curve: What Are Your Real-World DCFC Speeds?

I am considerably less frustrated by the charging curve issue since EA upgraded the nearest charging stations and reduced the wait time considerably. However, the charging curve is one of the two places where Lucid set expectations too high in comparison with real-world experience (efficiency...

Does DreamDrive Premium show nearby vehicles when on highway?

No, but the point is well-taken that Lucid could implement a cameras-only approach for those cars built that do not have LIDAR.

    DreamDrive Premium and HA

Originally, HA and all of its features were supposed to depend on the number of cameras and LIDAR, so all Air Pures and some ATs were not HA-capable. However, basic lane centering should be able to be accomplished with the cameras on any of the Lucid Air trims. Given the confusion (to this day)...
