    Hands free Drive Assist! Jul 30. Air first!

    Did you try other chargers at the EA station to confirm it wasn't an issue with a specific charger? I have had intermittent problems and had to call EA to override the station settings to let me charge, but in one case, I moved to a different charger and it worked right away. I had this issue...

    AC compressor failure

    Just got my car back from the SC yesterday with no errors found, either for the air compressor, or for EA charging. I believe them when they say that they found no HVAC errors at all, including low air flow, and they say that the jet engine imitation can happen, but still doesn't mean that there...

    DreamDrive Premium and HA

    I'm not sure I'm not sure that lane-centering (or lane-keeping) assist requires side cameras. Most general references explain it as a feature of the front-facing camera(s), like this one. Also, how is Lucid managing lane-keeping assist if it isn't tracking the lane with front-facing cameras...

    Lucid Air Accelerator issue.

    I have the same year/trim, but I can't really figure out what you mean by "pained my leg." If you've purchased used and you're not used to the acceleration, you can just try easing up and keeping it in "smooth." Also, maybe adjust the seat?

    Front license Plate Mounts

    Ummm, not really legal in Callifornia. Here's their own wording: "These are strictly novelty items and not meant to replace official California DMV-issued plates." However, there is one company that has a legal relationship with DMV: https://licenseplatewrap.com/. I used theirs for my front...

    Lane Centering standard on every Gravity! 🥳

    Lucid's early publicity introduced confusion among customers and salespeople alike about what was included in DD versus DDPro. I complained at the time that I thought I was getting lane centering with the base DD and Lucid did contact me to offer either the original $9000 price for DDPro or a...

    Leak from under the front of the Car

    I think I'm having AC compressor issues including weak airflow and, as you mentioned, a puddle of water in front. In my case this only occurs after the air conditioning has been used. I have an appointment end of July, so I'll post if they confirm that the problem is AC-related.

    AC compressor failure

    I have an appointment with Costa Mesa for these issues. I have used the workaround on AC, blasting Max for a little bit and then turning it back to regular AC. I also have had trouble syncing my Lucid Air with EA the past two weeks, but haven't experienced very slow charging as others have. I'll...

    DDPremium->DDPro Upgrade Path

    Yes, but I'm hoping Lucid will recognize that a reasonable upgrade cost will attract more uptakes. At $12000-$2500=9500, there is no way I would upgrade at that price. Even without lane centering in DDPremium (but maybe not in the Gravity DDPremium 2), the car drives so beautifully that a light...

    DDPremium->DDPro Upgrade Path

    No. I took delivery just after a significant layoff and figured that DDPro would be delayed and didn't want to pay full fare ($9000 at the time) for features that were years in the future. I had EAP and never took an upgrade to FSD for the same reason. It also meant that the constant "by the end...

    DDPremium->DDPro Upgrade Path

    With DD Premium increasingly becoming the baseline for Lucid cars and SUVs, perhaps it's time to offer a reasonable (eg. not the current $12,000!) upgrade path for those who paid $2500 for DDPremium, but have the hardware for DDPro. Since that group consists primarily of early adopters...

    Driving during the July 8th server update

    I had to run to LAX last night. I started out at 9:20pm and arrived around 10:30pm. I had read the post about the update, received the email, so I felt comfortable driving during that time. I had sent the nav from my phone to the car before starting out and the nav worked flawlessly. So the only...

    New to the Lucid Family - From Model X to Gravity Dream Edition

    When we first got our Model X, we had fun with falcon wing doors. But, just like others have pointed out, it's simply too slow to open, too prone to failure (too many parts), and a ride (even after having the suspension fixed) too bumpy. Still planning on holding onto it. I had the extended...

    Over a week with Gravity, my thoughts

    Thanks for this great summary. I have one question: are you referring to the "lane biasing" that is included not only with DDPro 2, but also with DD Premium 2? And, if so, is it available when you are just using ACC or only when Highway Assist is being used?

    iOS app charging verification issue

    I have had almost no problems, except once, recently, when the card seemed to have been charged, eg. I received an email with a $27 amount. I called Lucid CS and they told me to remove the card and put it in the Lucid account again. I used a different card, just to be sure, and I had no issues...

    Tesla Supercharger Updates?

    I use an EA station that is literally five minutes away from my house. When it went to an 85% cap, all of the backup went away, too. Sometimes I pull right in to a charger without any wait. Time-of-day still matters, but the situation is so much improved from two years ago. So even if a Lucid SC...

    Anyone know of bidirectional charging status?

    Does "possibly" mean that there is some standardization of how bidirectional EVs acknowledge a request from an EVSE, so the Lucid Air "may" work with the 2026 Enphase bidirectional EVSEs? I'm thinking that the most economical way, particularly right now, to get some use for home backup during...

    Electrek likes the Lucid Air as its "Model S Alternative"

    Electrek's choice for top Model S alternative...drumroll... Well, it's listed as an "opinion article," but it summarizes the advantage well: "Developed by OG Tesla Model S engineers with tunes from Annie Get Your Gun playing continuously in their heads, the Lucid Air promises to be the car...
