Yeah it's "pilot" that throws me off, since cockpit/pilot both imply "for the driver" to me. If they'd just called the pilot panel "center" or "side" it would be more obvious, albeit a much more mundane name.

Cockpit panel, but yeah, it definitely seems like a defective part somewhere in the panel's overall system that shows itself in sun/heat.

Ah, this is a good clarification, at least for my case: Both the front and back of the panel are *not* hot to the touch. At best, they are warm.

Took awhile to get scheduled and get the car serviced, but once the car got into service it only took a couple days, all the other time was queueing. Everything seems fine from a driving standpoint and even got to do a little bit of dirt road for the first time on a short road trip this...

I wish this was a joke, but just randomly switching on/off or high/low seems to like "wake" the AC up for me.

That's really interesting. My pieces didn't seem super loose but it didn't take much pressure to get it to get them free either. I will look at it the next time the car is wet. Thank you for the tip.

I've gotten the random windshield wipers going when the car wakes up for awhile now, but usually just one or two swipes. I'm pretty sure that's happened in the garage which would rule out sunlight, but I'll keep an eye an on it now to see when that happens.

On my second trip this morning (both short) the left taillight and brake light stopped working and throwing errors. The higher light seemed to work on braking so I went ahead and drove since it was daytime. Multiple reboots did not seem to clear it, so I tried charging it for a couple hours...

I am not familiar with car-specific software development, but based on the job listings, presumably Emad is referring to this: https://www.autosar.org/ I guess the other possibility is that they are moving away from that, but seems odd they would recruit for it in that case.

Like others, I've had some similar issues since 3.5.1 that seemed previously fixed. Three main areas: Screen/camera wonkiness. Generally a reboot seems to fix, but there doesn't seem to be much rhyme or reason to the occurrence. Agree with others that the car is more difficult to safely drive...

Amusing side-effect of a near silent car: hitting any kind of snow is quite loud in the cabin. I thought I had dented sides or bumpers a couple times this week, but everything looks good.
