560 Miles In - Black Screens

If I were you, I would tell them the car does not feel safe to drive and ask for it to be towed to a service center and for them to provide a loaner / rental until the issue is fixed. I believe rear view cameras are a requirement nowadays for new vehicles, so that being inoperable is evidence...

560 Miles In - Black Screens

Out of curiosity - what about the hardware for the FOB? Undersized bluetooth transmitter on the fob? I had assume it had something to do with not managing the sleep state well and sleeping through the heartbeat pings.

560 Miles In - Black Screens

My guess is this must not be in the service diagnostic playbook so they are struggling. They really need someone who knows the integrated architecture to debug it. Sounds like they are spinning and not getting the right person on the case. Early on (apr 2023). I had a case like this where it...

    $30K Lease for a Car I Can’t Drive — Lucid Ghosted Me

While these may seem sensible, I wouldn't necessarily read reticence to help as simply not caring. Anything they offer to do not by the books will open whoever is helping up to liability. (No good deed goes unpunished) For one, non of them are medically qualified to assist, so no one wants to...

560 Miles In - Black Screens

One way to introduce less bugs is to not update the software, or reduce the feature set :) My first car (Toyota Rav4) didn't have any software bugs! Then again i let myself into my neighbors car one day (same model) with my physical key. (Same make, model, color). Only noticed something...

Yay Hardware upgrade CPU and memory

I actually find that the car wakes up faster through the app and with the key fob after the upgrade. Less awkward waiting for the car to wake up / unlock. Might be a slight pause but not like before where it might have been 2-3 beats.

Lucid Revealing a New Gravity Variant at Monterey Car Week

Yay Hardware upgrade CPU and memory

Picked up my air after the upgrade and to me it was worth it. It's like the iPhone upgrade now. The old one worked fine, and the new one still looks like the old one, but everything just runs smoother. Makes the car feel like it's not dated anymore. Very much an experience thing v.s. a pure...

Yay Hardware upgrade CPU and memory

For those of you with mobile tech service, where were you? Millbrae wanted me to bring it in (where it is sitting in queue now)

Lucid Air aftermarket Hifi upgrade summary (and quality / configuration of the factory audio)

Regular SS package has only 1 dsp/amp and 9 total drivers. It's a lot less.

    AC compressor failure

I had 2022 December Touring build and my A/C compressor didn't work from day 1. Apparently an internal short in one of the control wires. It was replaced in May 2023 when it got warm enough to notice, hopefully that was after they fixed it!

Lucid will not offer heads-up display on Gravity GT (for now)

HUDs are a little overrated IMO (having had and not had) it's like a lower resolution display that's just a bit higher in your field of view. Their tech vision was an augmented reality implementation. I find it hard to believe they will have anything like that given they haven't yet mastered...

Lucid will not offer heads-up display on Gravity GT (for now)

The right thing to do to get the sweet spot of refined features is to wait. I didn't do that for Air as i got the first batch of Tourings off the line, but knew what i was getting myself into. I'd like a lot of 2025 Air enhancements and to have not had 8-10 service visits in the first year :)...

Lucid will not offer heads-up display on Gravity GT (for now)

I bet its just not ready for showtime both development wise / supply chain. Just like DDPro wasn't when air first came out (honestly still isn't quite there). Maybe looking to avoid customer dissatisfaction.
