    Motortrend's yearlong Air review ends!

Agreed. Ditch the phone, and use only the FOB. I keep mine in a Faraday pouch for battery longevity and immediate lock-unlock response.

    LCID stock

Lucid needs to plow more resources into marketing. TV and as many platforms as possible. The many awards and accolades should be emphasized and the superiority over the competition needs detailing.

Mobile Key no longer recognized / detected - can't lock car with mobile key or by pushing in handle on door

My solution: ditch the phone app. Use the FOB with a Faraday pouch. Take FOB out the pouch to wake/turn on car. Put it back in the pouch to immediately "turn car off". Since it limits FOB & vehicle communication, the battery lasts much longer. No need to press anything (except frunk opening).

    Software updates

(Easy Entry/Exit feature on recent upgrade) Can anyone help me figure out how Easy Entry is set up? I've gone to settings, vehicle, doors, and there's the new option for Easy Entry, but it's "grayed out" and I am unable to turn it on. What am I missing?

Consumer Reports rating of the Touring in Aug 2023 issue.

I've had my 2022 Grand Touring almost 16 months and there have been no major reliability issues. Not sure why some of you have been so unfortunate. Consumers Reports should have given the Lucid Air GT a starting score of no less than 80 (just based on its looks, range, power, storage, and...

Consumer Reports rating of the Touring in Aug 2023 issue.

You miss my point. A vehicle should be judged by its intrinsic merits (quality, performance, etc). Cost should not affect or dictate the CR overall numerical score (in my opinion). I relied on CR to purchase my last three new cars (1993 Ford Probe GT, 2003 Camry XLE, 2019 Prius Prime plugin) the...

Consumer Reports rating of the Touring in Aug 2023 issue.

And seriously, how is it that the Tesla S got the highest rating ever (99 out of a 100) back in 2014. At that time good reliability couldn't have been very well established. So why the near flawless score?

Consumer Reports rating of the Touring in Aug 2023 issue.

You know, all these variables makes me even more skeptical of their (CR's) rating criteria. Subjective: A guy taller than most people criticises the vehicle for not accommodating his size. Personal: Some guy is not comfortable adjusting the mirrors & steering wheel using a visual touchscreen...

Consumer Reports rating of the Touring in Aug 2023 issue.

Yep, that's what it was. They acknowledged receipt of the email and said they would share it with the appropriate departments. I'm not sure if they will print it or respond. Will keep you all posted. Most likely they will say "we stick by our ratings". It seems their criteria is a moving target...

Consumer Reports rating of the Touring in Aug 2023 issue.

Re: Lucid Air Rating CR Aug 2023 Issue I have been a subscriber and ardent acolyte of Consumer Reports since the early 1990’s. I also have owned a Lucid Grand Touring for more than a year (since Aug 2022). So it’s no wonder that I have been anticipating your take on my Lucid GT with high...

    Locked in car

I have a question. I keep hearing about using one's mobile phone 📱as a key (via Bluetooth) . I have the Lucid App that is available for me to use as a backup (along with the Valet card) to my key fob. But the app takes its sweet time because it works on a mobile data connection. If it can...

    Locked in car

I only use the FOB. Instead of pressing it and sometimes confusing the car that may simultaneously sense the FOB's proximity, I just use a Faraday key pouch. To unlock, I pull it out of the pouch, likewise, to lock, put it back in the pouch. It also remedies the battery drain. After 13 months...

    Electrify America Issues

EA totally sucks in my nick of the woods (East Bay California). There are three locations I (attempt) to use. 1. Walmart, Union City: one station does not recognize my GT"s VIN and asks for payment. The other stations have reduced the kW speed by 30%. 2. Brookvale, Fremont: all but one station...

    Grab handles

My GT Air has rear seat upper grab handles. Too bad they don't have them for the front. My previous vehicle had them and I would use them all the time getting in and especially out of the driver's seat. I find myself instinctively reaching up for the non-existent handle when I get out of my...
