Hands free Drive Assist! Jul 30. Air first!

Add me to the list of people who have no issues with it. I have to say, it does seem overly conservative to not even engage a feature for fear that it won't work perfectly. Keep in mind, you're not abdicating all responsibility to the car, with no way to take control. Case in point, an 18...

Lucid Announces Timothée Chalamet as Our First-Ever Global Brand Ambassador

My daughter texted me the news about this today. She's suddenly incredibly interested in potentially attending the next Owners Event.

Car & Driver does Hagerty One Better at 140mph in a Gravity Dream Quarter Mile

I completely understand, however, it rarely involves using all the power of the car. Your 0-60 sec time could be 0.5 to 1.0 slower and you'd very likely still smoke everyone off the line. Most of the time, a reasonable amount of acceleration and quick reaction time will leave everyone in the...

    Test Drive

This is difficult to read. You are specifically saying the P2P "drove better," which implies that you are interested in performance driving and handling dynamics. Why, then, would you not test the car in areas where you can push the acceleration, braking and cornering closer to the limit...

    Supercharger Access Timeline Discussion

It's attractive to me if it's the only option. Thus far, in 18k miles of driving all over the northeast,, I've never once wished for Tesla SC access....but it is comforting to know that there IS a fallback. Just because it's 50kw doesn't mean it's useless. It can get you to the next CCS high...

Hands free Drive Assist! Jul 30. Air first!

Been driving with it engaged more often than usual to put it through its paces before hands free arrives. Not a single issue on a ~25 mile drive along hwy 287 and rt80 in northern NJ. 2.7.1, '22 AGT. It was VERY smooth on the corner entry and exit. The lane changes are a tad more aggressive than...

Yay, Tesla charging … July 31!

It might be regional, but in 18,000 miles of driving, I've never waited more than 15 minutes...and 90% of the time I don't wait at all.

    Car Won't Reboot

Doubtful that a delivery inspection would catch this as I don't think it scales to tear the car down to the point where they're inspecting wire harnesses (unless there is a known defect). I am encouraged to see the level of detail that is included in the report, and the amount of...

Yay, Tesla charging … July 31!

AI knows what it's been trained on. Ask it about IRS tax code and it does well because it's ingested the entire tax code, I suspect. Ask it about the NUANCED internals of Air's charging hardware and it may well struggle, particularly since most publicly available data likely doesn't dive into...

Here you go fellas! Lucid Air SC network will be enabled

Never disagreed with a statement more in my life. Show me a Air getting 250kw for any length of time. Your post implies that all charging will take 5 times longer, and that's just not true. It'd be a shame for people to rule out this option based on this information.

Here you go fellas! Lucid Air SC network will be enabled

Yes, it's important to know if you're working with DC or AC as the starting point as that determines which adapter you'll need.

Here you go fellas! Lucid Air SC network will be enabled

My point is that assuming most of your driving is local (not road trips), then the home charging cost largely drives the total cost of charging over longer periods of time.

Here you go fellas! Lucid Air SC network will be enabled

The announcement specifically said ALL models of Air. I wouldn't worry too much.

Here you go fellas! Lucid Air SC network will be enabled

Thanks for the link. Just checked the pricing for the nearest Tesla supercharger.... I'll pick some random ones further from the house and see if the cost differential between peak and off-peak is always that high. Thus far I've done nearly 20k miles without ONCE wishing we had Supercharger...

Here you go fellas! Lucid Air SC network will be enabled

Thanks for the info. If you're going to do the cost comparison to ICE, it's important to include the more common use case of filling at home. How much the gas at the pump in your garage? *mic drop* :)
