Small sample for Air Touring 157 miles 3.91 mi/kWh

I always thought very high temperatures would lessen range. Yet yesterday we drove or 2023 Air Touring 288 miles in 98 degree temps (normal for you AZ folks, hot for us in Illinois) and scored 4.3 round-trip with mixed speeds of 60 mph on a state highway and and equal distance at 74 mph on the...

    False window open alerts

I had the exact same problem. I think it started after 2.7. I visually and tactilely checked to insure the window was truly closed. It was closed. I opened and closed the rear window and it seems to have stopped. However, as with all software gremlins, it could return unexpectedly.

    Concern for Lucid

As noted in a separate post, I brought my car to Goose Island, Chicago for its annual service. That's also the location from which I picked up my Air Touring in February, 2023. When I picked up my car back then, the place was bustling. There were two delivery advisors and lots of activity. They...

    Lucid service

My recent service experience at Goose Island was bittersweet. The staff was friendly, courteous and efficient. They even loaned me a Air GT for the afternoon. My car was returned washed and in good condition. I brought the car in for its yearly checkup. I almost passed out when I received the...

Received the update. Oh, gosh, now what are we going to complain about? <g>

    Update 2.6.16

Is it my imagination or did the most recent update significantly increase efficiency? In mild weather I generally was getting 3.5 - 4 mi/kwh with my 2023 Touring with 19-inch wheels. With 2.6.16 I'm now regularly getting better than 4 mi/kwh. My driving style hasn't changed and nothing else in...

    Finally sold my pure…✌🏻

You folks make me feel lucky. My 2023 Lucid Air Touring is 26 months old. I've experienced no major drivability problems. I've had a few annoying software glitches which updates eventually solved. I had a minor issue with the USB drive working and the friendly Goose Island, Chicago service...

What topic are you most interested in for our next AMA?

Please don't throw rocks at me, and I know I'm beating a dead horse, but really, how about Android Auto? Also tips beyond the obvious for maximizing range and whether Lucid plans any future updates that could increase range and/or speed up charging.

Why I bought an EV other than Lucid Air

I've owned my Air Touring for 25 months and never had a significant service issue. When I have asked for help, the Chicago Goose Island service center has been more than accommodating. Sure there have been minor glitches that annoyed me, but none that ever interfered with being able to drive the...

Does your AM/FM radio work reliably? Mine does not

I gave up on the radio. The AM is terrible. On all of my previous cars I could easily receive Chicago 50kw stations 140 miles away, not on the Lucid. The FM is flaky. I had to disable the HD and go with straight analog. The HD kept switching back and forth between analog and digital, even in...

Real world range touring 19 inch wheels

My Air Touring averages 3.6, but I drive it more in the summer than the winter. Cold temperatures really reduce efficiency. As I've posted before, there are half a dozen variables. For example if there's any altitude variation that will reduce efficiency. My home is 100 feet higher than Chicago...
