Hi everyone. I just joined the Lucid family last night. I bought a used 2024 Lucid Air Touring with only 12K miles. I've wanted a Lucid Air for several years and just never could get the timing right. And then last night I practically bought the car on impulse...sorta. It has most of what I want in the car and I compromised on some other things.
Now that I've bought it, I'm a bit nervous. Leading up to last night I was trying to convince myself not to get a lucid and to be more open to other options. I was (still am) concerned about the ability to get the car serviced (I though there was a mobile service center, but can't find it on the lucidmotors.com website anymore). I was (still am) also concerned about the financial health of the company. I made sure that the car I bought last night still had a lot of life left in the warranty, but if Lucid Motors themselves go under, then what good is a manufacturer's warranty anyway? Despite those concerns, I bought the car anyway. It's beautiful and sooo fast!

I've already found something wrong with it too. The play/pause button fell off the steering wheel. Looks like a piece of plastic broke. Anyone have this happen to them? Is it common and easy to replace or do I have to find that mysterious mobile service center to get it fixed?

Welcome to the adventure. I bought a used Air with 2300 miles on it 9 months ago and I just love the car.
Call Seattle service for the mobile tech. He fixed my sway bar and that’s been my only problem to date.
Where do you live?

There is a Lucid service center being worked on in Murray, UT area. Utah service center is currently Rocklin, CA with Lorenzo. I am located in Heber City, UT for those wanting to know.

@sl7vk, I'm in South Jordan. Seattle Service are they a mobile tech local to Salt Lake?

@boydracing, That's great to hear. I've been really worried that I'd have to ship the car to Rocklin, CA or Scottsdale, AZ when anything breaks. The lucidmotors.com website shows a service center in the Murray area today. But nothing happens if you select it on the map. Do they provide any details on when they expect it to be complete?

Holy cow a service center would be a game changer!!!!
As for service just call Lucids 800 number for service. They’ll get the mobile tech scheduled.

@bodyracing who did you hear about the Murray service center from? I think what is shown on the Lucid map right now is the mobile tech?
Any timelines? Thanks!

I took the opportunity to drive to the address identified on Lucid's website as a Service "thing" (service center or mobile service). I just wanted to see if something was getting built there or if there was a building there that appeared to have anything to do with Lucid Motors. Well...it was a small house in the middle of a neighborhood. There's no way a service center is getting built there. I suspect it might have been the home of someone associated with the mobile service. Though, I thought I heard that the mobile service was in reality just a couple of guys (talented guys) that would go around fixing things. But I also heard that they recently quit. And that's why our nearest service (mobile or otherwise) is in California.

Lorenzo from Rocklin, CA is taking care of all maintenance and service for Lucid clients in Utah. Lorenzo was also the one that said they are working on building a service center in Murray, UT area. I just got my Gravity back from Rocklin (covered carrier). They changed out the coolant and the coolant manifold. They also changed out the coolant return pipe/line. Everything seems to work just fine. I am heading out on road trip to SoCal in a few days to visit family.

I did find this Murray record which seems to indicate Lucid opening a business at 4759 S 500 W

The Cascade Collision that was at that address shows up as permanently closed now on Google Maps as well. Seems like it's actually happening

Not to over emphasize it, but this literally changes everything. I've got about 30 months left on my warranty and the prospect of shipping my car to wherever for work has felt like a time bomb ticking away. This is a massive win.

Agreed, it was a worry for me too. Especially for friends/family that are impressed it's been the biggest negative, and makes it hard to recommend the brand here.
I fully expect Utah to be a prime market for Earth when that arrives. Glad to see Lucid opening locations here in advance.

After talking with Sawyer it does sound like it's more of a leased space for major work to be done, but not a full Lucid service center. Sounds like they don't have all the equipment needed to do the Gravity coolant flush so I'm still going on a truck, but they do have a loaner here and should be getting more.
