Oooh not a post I want to do but...
I had my lucid for all of 2 months and a guy ran a very late red light and hit the back of my car. Then he took off. But he left his bumper behind.. And his license plate. Anyone know of a good body shop that knows how to fix Lucid. I suspect my insurance might not let me take it to lucid in Millbrae.

The guy who hit me eventually returned half an hour later. Probably realized he left his plates behind. I'm glad the police was there as well. The guy has no insurance. He said he just got his car out of repo. (my eyes are rolling at this point).

There are only a few certified Lucid body shops; Millbrae isn’t a body shop. You can find them listed on Lucid’s website under Locations.

Your insurance does not have a choice but to allow you to use whatever body shop you would like, by CA law, even if they may fight you on it. There are lots of threads about this.

Sorry you’re having to deal with this @valentino. Looks like Lucid has three “approved” autobody repair providers listed for the SF Bay Area. Link to the approved autobody repair shops is here. Of the ones listed, I know Chilton’s is reputable. A few of the legacy luxury auto dealers in the SF Bay Area use Chilton as their preferred auto body collision repair center. Although not listed as an approved provider, Karry’s Collision Ctr. in SF has been my go-to auto repair center for almost 10 yrs. Here’s the link to their Yelp page (ask for Kai). Good luck!

I went with chilton mainly because I'm in the peninsula and talking to them I felt pretty comfortable that they know what they are talking about. They have one person dedicated to Lucids. Whether that makes a difference, we'll see. These are the times when I'm glad I leased instead of purchased.
