Delivering Air Tourings

Someone else a while back said they got a similar email. Still haven’t heard of anyone actually getting the follow up to actually confirm, however. But hopefully, like the 2.0 release, we’ll see it in a couple of weeks.

Received this today. I am excited that we are progressing and can’t wait for my Touring. Hopefully, by the time LCHCS is available for non-DE owners and UX 2.1 will be bug free.

I am waiting to order Pure AWD DD Pro Surreal Sound Pro. After I saw your post, I logged on and all I see is my confirmed order or the designs. Where is the configurator?
The configurator is just the usual designer they have where you can pick your options. They're just asking you to make sure you've reviewed what you want for when the time comes.

So, I guess until I am invited to confirm the order, the configurator shows the new price.

You can modify your order when you finally configure - and prices should be grandfathered to when you confirmed your order. I see that new orders don't get 3 years of free EA charging.

Yes - 02/19/2022 but I confirmed my order during the window Lucid released to make my deposit non-refundable.

Thanks...
I think these check ins are mainly going to depend on your DA / SA. Some are probably going to be more proactive about it than others. Not necessarily a reflection of any particular order in the system.

Thus, I would not be worried about not receiving one right away. They are well aware of the order in which we all originally reserved. And as they stated clearly back in August, the "confirmation" was for tax purposes only. It should not have any effect on your delivery date.

Sounds like they have altered their language a bit (from the tweet, "delivering during the fourth quarter" to this latest email "start production towards the end of Q4") so they may not officially start the confirmations for another three to four weeks, from the sound of it.

I still wonder if they want to get 2.0 shipped before they make any switch over in the assembly line. Updating cars after the fact is pretty inefficient. Especially since it's three or four updates to get from 1.x to 2.x, and some of the updates take hours. Would probably be way better for them to just start flashing every Touring and Pure computer with 2.x from the get go.

I doubt that would hold them up if 2.0 were further delayed for some reason, but it might make sense to just keep pumping out GTs in the meantime, since the change over will probably involve some down time, anyway.

I can't imagine how many moving parts are involved in managing all these logistical requirements. We'll know more, maybe, after the earnings call. In the meantime, hopefully we'll hear from more folks getting these check-in emails.

This was very similar to the email I received back in mid September

Good afternoon,

Hope you and your family are doing well!

Very exciting times here at Lucid. We are preparing to bring Air Touring into production in Q4 of this year with Air Pure models following soon after.

For delivery times, currently, our Grand Touring customers are waiting between 2-4 months after confirming their order. This wait may be different by the time you receive your invitation to order and a colleague on our Delivery Team will be able to share a more specific timescale when your turn comes.

If you haven't already saved your preferred vehicle in your Lucid account, you can do so now to prepare for your invitation to order.

Have you seen our latest model? We just opened up reservations for our 1200 HP Lucid Sapphire! This model is expected to launch in Q1 of 2023!

Please let me know if you have any additional questions.

Thank you for your continued support!

I wonder if they will finish shipping the entire back log of GT by the end of this year. Hope they mention how many of which model they have as "confirmed" orders
when they report earnings in Nov. Anyway, delay is not really a bad thing for those waiting for Touring and Pure. Software will improve a lot and I think the priority to release the software will be DE folks and soon the Saphire. I hope the introduction of Saphire will not be cause even more delay to us waiting for T and Pure.

I don't think they will ever reveal the split of trims publicly. For the same reason Apple never tells us how many iPhone Pro, Pro Max, SE models they sell. Competitive info.
