On top of what @Snafu wrote about getting a cancellation, what @Thinjake wrote about a cancellation can only go to someone whose car hasn't started production. With what @Thinjake wrote, it makes a lot more sense to me why some people with such recent confirmations are getting cars over people with older confirmations. But it also points to an immature process where Lucid can't easily switch who is assigned to what car or they just don't want to deal with it.

when it is time for delivery the buyer is informed of where to pick up the car

Interesting, I received the purchase agreement today, signed and paid for the car, Delivery is scheduled for tomorrow at 2:00 PM. DRUM ROLLLL... :D Hopefully yours is couple of days away as well.

My DA, Ted Z., was incredibly helpful and informative throughout and matched me with an unfortunate someone's cancellation last week. The car arrived in Boston last night, so Saturday will be it! The Boston Studio Mgr, Gianni, has been keeping me updated and is very personable. Looking forward to my first spin home to NH from there. (I think I may stop reading certain posts till I am safely back home.)

Took mine up to Mt Washington (Breton Woods resort) a couple weeks ago and stopped in Boston on the way from Rhode Island, but the Lucid studio wasn’t open yet cuz I left early in the AM. FYI the garage across the street from the institute of contemporary art, which is 2 blocks from the Lucid studio has free level 2 chargers so I added a 100 miles while I went to the museum and had breakfast. If you can, drive as much of route 302 through the NH mountains if it’s not too far out of your way. You’re gonna flip that visor to the left and love the Mountain View through the glass canopy and swift/sprint mode hoooo boy!

(Which you technically can’t get without the manufacturers title, which they refuse to send even though you’ve paid for the vehicle.).

I suggested they send the title and just let customers register the car themselves and pay the tax, you can get plates the same day.

Hmmm, sounds like a nice fall drive/brewery trip might need to be organized, paging @Dortreo and @RichMalden. Dare we start a New England telegram like the Bay Area one? I’m too damn busy with all aspects of my life to add another thing to do but if someone else wants to set it up I’ll jump in.

Thanks! No they didn't mention home delivery and I didn't ask about it. I'm about 10 miles from Costa Mesa delivery center, . They offered to pick me and my wife up from our home so that we can drive back in the car together and I obviously accepted :)
 
I'm also in Massachusetts stuck waiting on registration. My car is waiting for me at the Boston studio, I paid and sent Lucid the registration papers over a week ago, and can't get the car. Really frustrating, as I've got a big car show and cross country trip in a week, and will probably have to do them without the Lucid, and leave them having to store the car for a month.

So I guess Lucid's changed how they're handling MA registration and rather than handing over the cars with manufacturer plates, they are waiting until the plates are shipped from RMV. This is a pain but does save the trouble of your insurance company potentially refusing to cover the Lucid or cancelling your insurance (which is what happened to me). Lucid does the plates in batches, so it's tough to predict when they show up. Check the RMV site, as it's updated there faster than Lucid can update you.
