3 days out of warranty so service is my $?

Interesting because some things are standardized. Like CCCV2 was $995 installed. Initially, they overcharged me by 50% by itemizing the labor charges. I pointed out that the $995 price is advertised in their own website. They adjusted the price but I think there is variability in how they bill out labor charges. Shouldn't be that different for an alignment though...

They should be using the same charge sheet

Edit
If you break up with your partner, is it expected that you could have an (ahem) intimate interlude afterwards? Asking for a friend

You would think... but suppose there is a labor charge for removal and reinstalltion of a CCC card. But the service center instead charges for glovebox removal, card removal and installation, software installation, etc... The latter is what they tried to do and they legitimately performed those services. For those unfamiliar with they labor charges, how would one know if there is a more global labor charge for a service performed???

My car went out of warranty in late September. My back door behind driver seat doesn’t work. Replacement costs $1,000 including over $500 for labor. Will let you know how long it takes. Fortunately it can be done at the house by a very good service rep. While service at Miami seems good quality, even simple things take two weeks or more. I have loved my car for 4 years but the inability to buy an extended warranty plus a service center that is inadequate is infuriating. Also, having bought an early GT the fact they quickly lowered the price after I bought it has only made the depreciation even worse. Lucid is taking customer contempt to a new level. The senior management of Lucid is incompetent. It makes me sick as I had been a huge supporter for years. Mike
Depreciation is the norm for every luxury car and it’s worse for EVs…nothing to do with Lucid.

You can buy aftermarket extended warranty.

Any car can break after warranty ends. It was just bad luck. Life happens, move on. No point being all grumpy about it.

I didn’t get grumpy out of this but rather disappointed that the service mgr tried to itemize a task that already had a definitive cost. I mean I wouldn’t expect to get a bill that broke down a cost for removing lug nuts when there’s already a fixed fee for tire replacement labor. Just how I read it.
