245/40 vs 245/45/20

My 20" wheels just arrived, waiting on new tpms, and will be ordering tires soon. Went square with 20x9.

I was set on Bridgestone Potenza re980as+ in 245/40/20... But Black Friday deals are popping up and wondering if anyone is on 245/45/20? The difference is 0.4", I can't imagine issues but anyone have experience?

Also looking at Falken G6 Pro Sport A/S

I’d wonder about tire circumference as that can affect your speedometer

I'm sure the speedo will get thrown off, my concern is more fitment/rubbing, but definitely a valid thought.

Im generally a Gravity Dr but here goes…

Lucid does not leave a lot of extra room for things, jumping from 40 to 45 may fit, but it may also rub when turning or on a bump or any random spot.

There are many excellent tire options in stock size, if you want to mess around you can go 255/40/20 for more traction but I see only downside going 245/45.
