Gravity
I received my plates from the DMV a week ago, but I can't figure out the exact screw type used on the gravity license plate bracket. Please see attached. Any thoughts on what this is?

Thanks all for the input.

Never seen that one. Do all Gravity have the same inverted torx on their plate brackets?

I wonder why not just just use regular philips screws? Maybe just being different or cool or sophisticated?

Looks like Lucid followed in Tesla’s footsteps using those stupid screws in their front plate brackets. If you have a 3D printer you can print an adapter to unscrew them.

If not, you can search and buy one. Look for Tesla Model S front license plate bracket screw removal tool.

Screw nerds use Torx. Lucid engineers are screw nerds.
Why? Torx is supposed to be harder to strip than Phillips.

Thanks for the inputs. I don't want to go get a set of tools for just one single use. This is how the we accumulate junk in our lives.

Maybe I will stop by the lucid studio when I am in that vicinity.

Day late and a dollar short l, but I’m a fan of licenseplatewraps.com. CA legal vinyl decal license plate. Nice pretty bumper afterwards.

You may also have luck stopping by an auto parts store, they often have a few things to help do very basic car work you can borrow.

Or swing by your local mechanic and see if they have something that will work.

Just go to a decent auto parts store and get a set of Philips head license plate screws and ask for help to swap them. Or get an aftermarket set and go by a Lucid Studio and get them to remove the Torx bolts and install the Philips bolts.
