A brief history...I was thinking about an Air when I first started seriously considering an EV, three years ago. But at the time, you couldn't lease a Lucid in Savannah, so I ended up with a BMW iX. That lease is ending in February, and I first test drove the Gravity around Christmas and it became a top choice. My plan is to lease a new car in December when (presumably) promotions will be at their highest and prices at their lowest, so I'll only have an overlap of 6-8 weeks between the iX and the whatever.

Yesterday at lunch, I get a call from Lucid, but I'm eating, so I don't pick up and they don't leave a message. I'm sure that they were calling because some random comment I made here or on FB struck their fancy and they wanted to lend (or give) me a Gravity GT, but since I didn't pick up, the opportunity passed me by. Later in the afternoon I call Lucid back, and it was "just" an inside sales rep calling to see if I was still interested and if I had any questions. I was vaguely disappointed that they weren't giving out free cars, but I figured I'd call my insurance company to find out how much I was going to get hit by leasing a Gravity. They needed a VIN, so I called the King of Prussia studio, after having no success finding a VIN on their website. The associate gave me the VIN, and then tried to put me in a Gravity, asking what I'm paying for my current lease, etc. So I told him that it was unrealistic for me to get a new vehicle before Thanksgiving, although I gave him reasonable expectations on what I was willing to pay. He's letting the manager know, so it's entirely possible that I'll be driving a Gravity from PHL to SAV after Thanksgiving.

In hindsight, I should have said I wanted a GT with all of the options (even the ones I don't want) for under $1000 with no money down. 🤑😇 But I can "settle" for a Touring with the options I actually want. :)

Under $1k? It’s good to have dreams! 😂 The insurance was a bit of a shock, but I had gotten a quote beforehand so I was ready for it. Alas I haven’t been able to drive it as it’s been in service for going on a month now.

My only "fear" is that they will offer me a Touring for the price I want, but will tell me I can get a GT for some small amount more. And I'd probably do it. 😂 I don't need the extra power, and while the longer range would be nice, it's also not...required. Actually, I SHOULD have said I want a blue GT-S for $1000. That's the only color I actually like!! 🤣

KoP gave me a 2026 Gravity VIN, and it would increase my insurance by about $1000 (to about $3500+) and the USAA guy was saying "This is the lowest I've ever seen a Lucid policy!" It doesn't seem so low to me, but then again, it seems like if someone sneezes on it wrong, it's a $7500 repair.

I'm also assuming that any "end of year" deals will start on Black Friday. I'll be in PHL for Thanks giving AND Christmas. My plan was to get the car at the end of December, and then my buddy would fly out from LA and we'd road trip to Savannah. He's afraid to test drive a Gravity because he knows he'll want to buy one. :)

I will lease a Gravity GT when I get a final decision on my Air GT damage/total loss with most options except not DD Pro for reasons I expressed elsewhere on the forum after four years with it in my Air GTs. A 36 month lease will be around $1,500/month including some money down. Given the probably 3 month or longer wait I will order as soon as I get a decision from the insurance company. I have no idea of the probability of further incentives beyond the $3,000 loyalty one and am not willing to wait to order on the hope that they materialize later in the year. I have not leased a car for almost 20 years when I did so with my company but the money factor is attractive and having the use of the money and a put on the Gravity in three years are attractive options. My only decision at this point is the color and I lean towards Aurora Green Metallic and Tahoe interior. Saw an Aurora Green one with Platinum appearance and 21"23" wheels and liked it. FWIW, I did some quick comparisons of other EVs but nothing comes close to the Lucid Gravity offers. Also, I prefer to buy directly through the Lucid corporate system and have the car delivered to my house.

I’m at $3600 a year on my GGT with USAA. $500k/$1 million limits here in SoCal

I may check with USAA but so far am quite happy with Cincinatti's rates and service.

I just checked my actual policy and it’s about $3200 a year with $500k/$1 million. I’ll have to ask them what the story is, since SoCal SHOULD be more expensive than Savannah. If the estimate is right, I’d be at $4200 🤢

You would think!

When I priced a 2027 the way I want it, the total lease outflow was 52% of MSRP. That is an absolute deal killer for me. My max is 40%, but I prefer lower.

Are you able to hit that percentage with a luxury EV from anyone else? Given the depreciation that $100K+ EVs see, your 52% calculation doesn't at all surprise me. If I could lay hands on a low milage 3 year old GGT, I'd jump at the chance to save a huge amount of money! But alas, that wont be possible for a couple more years.
