Air software version 2.10.0

Just did the same thing and my experience was similar. The CS agent told me to expect my vehicle to be flagged for the update by end of day. Pretty amazing that SMS/Text/Chat support isn't available as that is their LEAST expensive option for support.
I kinda expressed my surprise in a more, "hey text would have really been convenient for this issue" way. They seemed to think that it was a temporary problem that the higher ups were examining - FWIW

Chat support is not the cheapest…you need someone in front of a computer in real time.

I disagree as the last company I worked for used chat to save cost. You can have one agent chatting with multiple customers at a time.

Per Gemini:

Yes, chat support is generally cheaper than a traditional call center, typically costing 15% to 50% less per interaction and saving roughly $2 to $7 less per contact depending on the complexity of the issue

my car at the lucid service center for front drive unit system replacement and I can see they have updated the SW to 2.10.0 just an hour ago without any issue.

Tried to text but SMS is "unavailable" at this time. Called CS , stayed on for 30 minutes then was told to enter number for call back. They called back within 30 minutes, was told they would send a message to their software engineers. If that doesn't work, they would contact me to go to SC.
Just was flagged for 2.9.0. Installing now. Maybe it’s required before updating to 2.10.0?

consider this scenario
I send a text
Wait a few minutes
Send a second text
Wait
Repeat
The person on the receiving end has to did through the many texts to get minimal information
Whereas a conversation can get detailed with the specific information pertaining to the issue at hand.
So frustrating yes but from the receiving end it could be more economical

This is all a guess that might explain your observation but then it could be just me

So it appears you agreed that a person is required to be at a keyboard yet you disagree that a person is required to sit at a keyboard
I’m confused as to why a person working multiple chats requires a person but a single chat doesn’t

No new issues with this update for my Air Touring model. Yes, the new seat belt graphic design could look better but I would take this over the required front license plate any day.

Just was flagged for 2.9.0. Installing now. Maybe it’s required before updating to 2.10.0?
And soon after 2.9.0 installed (took about 2 hours), I was notified that 2.10.0 was ready to be installed, so it appears that there is a dependency on 2.9.0 update.

Thank you. Still have not received notice to update from 2.8.30...🙄

That's a bummer. Maybe wait until tomorrow and call again. Is your vehicle connected to Wi-fi? I believe there was a dependency on 2.9.0 to have a wi-fi connection as it was very large. My Eero app reported over a 5 gig download

I don't know if anyone posted this yet as I couldn't find anything through search. Once I'm connected to Android Auto and listening to music on the Tidal native app in the car, I can't pull the app menu down to the pilot screen. Anyone else?

Calling again and a reset has me successfully on 2.10. There was some kind of glitch with my home network connection and I had to resubmit my password.

On my 25 Pure I've enjoyed much better passive unlock functionality since updating to 2.10.0. The seatbelt indicator graphic is incongruous with the rest of the UI though.

I get soooo irritated waiting 5 minutes for a response as they respond to multiple customers. Not a sign of good customer service. But I agree, it’s better than what they have now. I would rather see they get someone at every service center hired just to answer calls and make sure responses are made for non-urgent issues by end of day, and for urgent issues within 15 minutes.

Considering it's been almost 3 months of 2.9.0 failing to install, and that the failure message says "We will notify you when the next update is available, you do not need to take any action." ... that would be a crazy turn of events.

For anyone except Lucid I guess. Expected incompetence at this point.

Call CS, leave a callback number, and wait for their return call....

Same here, but everything is working fine. So I won’t worry too much about it!
Your choice, buy I did end up calling and having the updates pushed to me. I likely had a wifi connection issue that may have contributed to not receiving the update.

Still won’t install the update because of that hideous seat belt graphic. The previous one was elegant, informative, and classy. This new one is an ugly downgrade, belonging in substantially cheaper cars, not ones competing with high-priced alternatives.

BRING THE OLD GRAPHIC BACK, LUCID. Stop with the stupidity, and fix what needs to be fixed and leave alone what works.
