It looks like we have a new step-daddy

More like a Sugar-Daddy

Is this why the stock is up 20% today ?

As I said before there are a lot of things going on behind the scene that is helping lucid to become a major player in EV world but it will take time , like years time 5 to 10 years

Building a car company is extremely hard

And Saudis know that and they are going for it for the long haul

A whole automotive cluster is being built as we speak at King Abdullah economic city

😂take a flight there you might see the midsize

This appears to me to be a personal investment by HRH Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal Bin Abdulaziz Alsaud, independent of the PIF. Likely in the neighborhood of $150M.

I wouldn't necessarily read anything into this relative to the PIF's strategy, other than that HRH Alsaud is a clever and successful investor and he likely understands which way the wind is blowing within the government.

I would definitely read into it. It’s a big signal that the Saudis still like Lucid. They aren’t just tolerating them.

There is 1 existential threat to Lucid above all else. And it isn’t low delivery numbers or bad software. It’s that the Saudis decide to write off their investment. Thats seems less likely today than it was yesterday.

Yeah, stock up 20 odd percent this morning! Looks like the Saudis haven't "given up" on Lucid. Shorts beware 😂
Yeah!!! Now I'm only down 75%!! Got a ways to go to get up to my avg unit cost of $31.34 ... Fortunately, LCID is a very small part of my portfolio. Thank goodness for AAPL (up +500%) I'm not sinking any more $$$$ into this stock until mid-size becomes a reality

What I am trying to say is that "the Saudis" are individual people making their own best decisions.
HRH Alsaud and his government have not always seen eye to eye.

I agree that the Saudi crown prince and PIF are independent, but importantly, sentiment for Lucid has not turned negative and support for the company remains strong. Anyway you slice it, it's good news for Lucid and its supporters.

HRH Alsaud is a Saudi prince, but he is not the crown prince, and he is not listed as being part of PIF management, its board, or its panel of experts.

I remember when he was “not arrested” and couldn’t leave a hotel for months until they did see eye to eye.

MBS is the most famous and prominent and powerful Saudi Figure. But Al Saud is the SECOND most prominent Saudi to US investors. It’s hard to imagine Al Saud, after his personal harrowing experience, taking a stake in a PIF investment so large it required an SEC disclosure without PIF knowing it was going to happen and everyone agreeing on it.

any spy photos you got by any chance? I can trade with you for maple syrup 🤣

The next step is to enable LCID to conduct transactions on the Saudi stock exchange while ensuring that its shares cannot be lent to short sellers.

Personally, I applaud this move by HRH Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal Bin Abdulaziz Alsaud:. It shows a long vision for opportunity vs some near-sighted, short attention span investors.

Agreed, it's refreshing to see a large entity think in the long-term instead of quarters-to-quarter
