Thanks for your very helpful and detailed post, I tried the adjustment and it solved the Frunk “2 tries issue “To try it yourself, just twist one or both of these a half-turn at a time, counter-clockwise:

If you're worried about messing something up, keep a count of how many turns so you can twist them back.
1/2"can anyone who has done this measure the spacers' length from under the hood once it's working? this could be variable of course between vehicles but one would think there would be an approximate range Lucid would be shooting for.
I'm willing to try this first and the SC can double check it later as I already have an appointment made because there is a rather loud low frequency hum/droning happening with my GGT when the car is going left on the highway.![]()
That doesn't seem helpful. Chances are your spacers are already close to the proper length. Presumably, someone/something checked that the frunk hood opened and closely properly at least once since coming off the assembly line (if not also during).can anyone who has done this measure the spacers' length from under the hood once it's working? this could be variable of course between vehicles but one would think there would be an approximate range Lucid would be shooting for.
Can’t believe it’s just the rubber bumpers!!! Lucid should put a PSA about itI was having issues with both the frunk and trunk sticking as well. I just adjusted on both and it's working beautifully. Here's another thanks for posting the solution.
fair enough. That doesn't seem helpful. Chances are your spacers are already close to the proper length. Presumably, someone/something checked that the frunk hood opened and closely properly at least once since coming off the assembly line (if not also during).
yep same for mefair enough.
I adjusted my spacers to match at a 1 cm gap yesterday (one was off by 2mm) and it worked fine with one press into the evening when I tried it a few times. But today, it sticks again on the first try. :/
Likely the misalignment of my frunk lid has more to do with it and it's not just the spacers.
Yeah, someone else was speculating that in warm Arizona frunks that open on first try might be having difficulty in colder weather. My Gravity was working perfectly. However, now that it is freezing or below, my frunk opens usually on the second button click.
I have a rollup screen door like that behaves like that. I'll need to double check the receipt, but I think it was less than $100k.Yeah, someone else was speculating that in warm Arizona frunks that open on first try might be having difficulty in colder weather.
I hope there's a setting that works in all livable climates, -30ºF to 130ºF, else Lucid has some re-engineering to do.
I bet your rollup screen door is part of a more than $100k house, just as the frunk is but a part of the car.I have a rollup screen door like that behaves like that. I'll need to double check the receipt, but I think it was less than $100k.![]()
heh.I bet your rollup screen door is part of a more than $100k house, just as the frunk is but a part of the car.
I would contact your service center's parts department they probably have it in stock. Once you replace it, if it's still continues, then you'll need to call service. But this issue was supposed to have been resolved in 3.6.0 and I can attest it was on my end. I just can't get the clam shell on the back end to open by pressing the dash or key fob once. Sometimes it takes multiple presses of the button but most of the times it requires me to manually help lift it to get it going up. So back to service will go!There are two Rubber Bumpers on the front edge of the Frunk door that come down on the top of the Bumper / front of the Frunk opening. They come off real easy when drying the car at the car wash. I’ve lost 1 of mine. The second has come off twice, but hit my foot on the way to the ground so I found it both times. I’m also having the 2 tries needed problem opening my Frunk. Could 1 of these bumpers not being there contribute to this? Where can I get a replacement (call service?)
