I think it would. I haven't gone to that step yet, really don't want to carry a remote and the MyQ app/wifi connection is very spotty for me to just use my phone.

Not yet! I want to get it on video to show them. I've found it works better this way with their service advisors.
 
today I got a repeated alert ‘drive system needs attention: schedule service visit soon’

Made an app appointment for 8/26 and the service center called me to move up to next week. 😳

Car is driving totally normally so hopefully it’s not a major issue. Will report back here once I find out.

This is similar to my issue that turned out to me a cooling valve, etc. I had the warning and went on several road trips and over 1,000 miles with it - probably because I was so used to errant warnings a year ago.

When I did contact SC, they wanted to make sure I took it in and I was, actually, quite surprised when there WAS an actual issue. But they were responsive and addressed it fairly quickly.

Part of me hopes it goes away on its own and isn’t a real problem, but if it’s something non-critical and quickly addressed as yours was, i’ll be thrilled!
 
At least it seems some of the backlog in Service is being worked through and they are moving up appointments in their schedule for you as they did for me as well..

Hoping we're over the hump for now...we'll see when they release Cosmos
