I think the majority of the US will, but I wouldn't put it at 90%. Also, Earth and another model are coming, meant to compete with R2. Hopefully, Lucid can push out the other two models quickly after releasing Cosmos.

I’m debating a setup like this! Considering a Pebble though vs Airstream. We looked at the Airstreams, didn’t seem worth the money.

If Lucid manages to get the scale they need to bring the costs down, I wouldn't be surprised if a digital rearview camera and glass rear are both included. Gives the user options for both and it'd be a handy to have as standard.

Yeah, in Europe in particular I hope the Cosmos comes out swinging. Europe's already a battleground with both legacy companies and Chinese companies competing in the same space. Even though Lucid will market the Cosmos as the driver-focused variant, I wouldn't be surprised if the more expensive Cosmos trims end up getting compared competition like this:


Regardless of what happens, competition and options for buyers is a good thing.

I also hope the existence of the Alpine A390 GTS gives Lucid the motivation to make a tri-motor Sapphire Cosmos. I'm on my knees begging for it to happen 🤣

Disagree, R2 not innovative, looks like a box, mini me of R3, less technologically advanced, and those front lights! My GOD!

Once Lucid sorts out the software, and they’ve made great strides, they will sell a lot. Guess why CUV’s outsell real off-roaders?

In fairness, some customer segments like boxy designs, other customer segments like more stylized coupe-style designs. Both design styles sell in considerable volumes, and it doesn't have to be an either-or scenario for the market

Lucid doesn't need a boxy design to get that same space....only reason Detroit got us accustomed to boxy is lazy desiging....cheapest way to sell unnecssary gas guzzler to the gullible public at huge profits...that boat is starting to sale...

And yet, Lucid is building a boxy car as their third midsize. There is clearly demand for all these styles.
 
I am not familiar with auto marketing, but is patent sketches a way vehicles are unveiled?
 
Lucid needs to unveil cosmos asap. Letting every automotive journalist spread AI generated images of sketches is not a way you build excitement. I’m not sure anyone outside of this forum is excited or even aware lucid cosmos is coming.

The Earth shares 95% with the Cosmos, It will probably have a higher ground clearance and some structural changes for off roading.
 
This is perfect for Lucid. It generates publicity for the upcoming car release without any obligation on the part of the company whatsoever. Any errors or misconceptions will be easily overcome by factual information released by Lucid at launch.
 
Range and charging speed are the only two stats that I am looking for.
