Recent Trip Efficiency

Drove from Santa Clarita to La Quinta and back yesterday and was quite impressed with the efficiency \ range. ADAS was set to 72 and managed to get 324 miles with 7% to spare when I got home. I believe the Dream Edition on 21's is EPA rated at 370 miles so not bad at all in my opinion as I probably could have gotten around 340+ on a single charge.

Yeah it's pretty impressive when you think about it

In my Air I find the suspension a tad softer than I like in Smooth mode. Swift tightens up the suspension a bit and I prefer the way the car feels and handles in that mode.

I'd be perfectly happy if we could have a custom mode to let us set Smooth mode but with the tighter suspension.
What is the mechanism that the Air uses to tighten up the suspension?

There is also a very vocal minority repeating the same negatives across many posts, giving the illusion of widespread disaster when the reality is far different.
Three or four people really taint the impression people come away with after spending time on the forum.

One more data point driving from Southern Cal to Phoenix., Gravity Dream, mid-sized wheels, 4 passengers and full cargo, driving 75 to 80 mph: efficiency 2.54.
No problem charging with Tesla SC.

Some owners on here really get bent out of shape when certain things get buggy or what not and while I get it, I don’t think it’s all as bad as some make it sound. Now I understand, some cars work, some cars just don’t. That happens no matter the MFG of vehicles.
Well said. My wife I also plan to road trip the hell out of this thing. I think the hardware is solid, software can always be updated OTA. Happy travels on the road trip!

What speed on straight and level gets me to the 450?
40 MPH?

In other words, never at highway speeds. Maybe 400 miles if conditions are ideal. 400 / 123 = 3.25 MPK (3.41 if using 117 as the usable battery capacity as some report). I don't think I've reached 3.25 even at city speeds yet. More like ~3.1 city, ~2.8 highway. 2.8 puts the highway range closer to 340.

We're about to start doing lots of 2000+ mile road trips in ours so I'll be curious to see what we get in reality, in summer temps.

I’ve been doing a lot of 60-65 here in northeast and getting around 3.4 pushing right at 396 with a full charge.

10-15 MPH slower makes a big difference in our other EVs too. Most of our road trips are in the west (UT/NV/WY) with lots of 80 MPH speed limits, where I'm expecting ~2.8 or worse.
