Greetings all,

I'm starting a thread to see if anybody has access to any service manual or schematic/assembly info. I recognize this is a brand new vehicle and online resources have not had a chance to develop.

For those of us that are mechanically inclined, this is a new world to be in where something as simple as changing wiper blades is a complex procedure. With that in mind, does anyone on the thread or any of the Lucid employees that monitor to this thread have a resource that can be posted such as service manuals to show panel attachments or any other videos that have been made? It seems if some of this was posted, many of us could take the weight off of the service centers with simple repairs.

One item I'm looking at specifically now is the rear wiper washer. It doesn't work on our gravity and a service appointment isn't available for months. I can hear the washer fluid pump motor running, but there's no way to tell if there's fluid getting to the rear of the vehicle. Because I have no idea of any panel attachment points, I don't want to just start pulling at stuff. If I knew how to access the pump and get into the rear wiper assembly, I'm confident I could fix this myself.

Any help or insight would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance...

Have you let the pump you hear run long enough in one continuous activation to prime the line?

Other posters said they had to do that longer than they realized to get it to start working properly.

I thought mine might be frozen, but temps have warmed up enough, yet it still doesn't work. I can hear the pump running. Added it to a mobile tech appt that was scheduled anyway.

Yes- thanks for checking tho. I let I it run for at least 30 seconds I don't want to ruin it so long that out burns up. Guessing it's partially cooled by the fluid.

From what little I’ve seen and worked on, it’s standard plastic pop rivets. I took apart the rear shelf and although it’s “Lucid”, it’s all made by normal OEM suppliers. I disassembled seatbelt trim, shelf, subwoofer, and rear trim and cosmetic trims, and rear carpeting and trunk lining. I found nothing unusual except that the car is exceptionally well built (I ripped apart every car from Mitsubishi to Lexus and MB and never seen one with with build quality of Lucid. Only build quality I’ve seen better than Lucid is Maserati).

Another way to get good insight is to look at wrecked part outs on eBay. Dismantlers will gut the cars then post pics front and rear of the parts and you can see all the panel attachment points! I got a lot from that before I tore into my air.

As a stop gap…you can wax the rear glass and the water will run off 🤷

I had a tech come out and look at my rear wiper, said fluid low and topped off. It sprays now, have to hold the screen button but fluid goes left, fluid goes right, not a drop down the middle.

I was laughing so hard after trying to point vehicle downhill and uphill which made no difference.

I briefly considered putting it on 2 wheels but at 6,000lb the joke would probably be on me

One item I'm looking at specifically now is the rear wiper washer. It doesn't work on our gravity and a service appointment isn't available for months, similar to what you'd find documented in a Ford Aerostar 1986 1997 Workshop and Service Manual PDF. I can hear the washer fluid pump motor running, but there's no way to tell if there's fluid getting to the rear of the vehicle. Because I have no idea of any panel attachment points, I don't want to just start pulling at stuff. You’re right to be cautious on new vehicles like this, full service manuals and schematics usually aren’t publicly available yet, so most repairs aren’t documented for DIY work. For your rear washer issue, if you can hear the pump running, the most likely causes are a clogged rear nozzle, a disconnected or pinched hose in the rear hatch, or a split washer line. Since there’s no accessible schematic, the safest approach is to avoid removing interior panels blindly and instead check the nozzle for blockage and inspect any visible hose sections for leaks or disconnection. Right now, only service centers typically have detailed repair diagrams for these systems.

I had an issue with rear washer, they replaced the entire spoiler.
