Air Touring (2025)
I hate complaining, but here we are. I have owned many cars over the past 25 years, and this is by far the worst experience with service. And I am not talking about issues with the car, which I am extremely fortunate to have none in the past 14+ months. This is about the annual service:

1) Lucid Air Touring 2025 leased early February 2025. Annual service due February 2026. Service center near me: Tysons Galleria (N. Virginia)
2) Reached out in December 2025 to schedule my annual service in February 2026. No reply. Nobody picks up the phone, no call backs, nothing. Finally after contacting corporate, someone called me to schedule. That was already January. Earliest available, March. I took it
3) A few weeks later, I got a notification in my app, that I (as in “myself”) canceled the appointment. Which obviously I did not. The dude was arguing with me, offering to text me “screenshots” of his “system” proving I canceled the appointment. Anyways… no point wasting my time, so scheduled a visit in person second week of this April
4) I show up as scheduled. The girl in there was surprised, as if an Alien suddenly descended. She said this should never have happened, and there was a mistake, my maintenance should have been Mobile service. I dropped the two names I knew from previous communications, she said both of them were let go. She offered to keep the car, but mentioned at least three weeks time in their service center, with no loaners available, just Uber credit to drive me home that morning. That made zero sense to me
5) At this point, I had no choice but to leave, and take the next Mobile appointment. Still fine, I did not feel good about this ordeal, but I can handle the inconvenience, I hate bitching. I cannot work from home (like ever) so wife was a trooper, being able to do so that day
6) the guy showed up three hours late. Ok, schiit happens. I told my wife to keep an eye on him, as he “worked” on the car, and specifically mentioned lifting the car for tire rotation. I was also watching home remotely via security camera. No tire rotation happened, guy left.
7) I texted him and asked about the missing tire rotation. He said he was unable to do it, as his equipment was “faulty”. He also texted my tires were fine. Dude: that is the whole point of this “maintenance “! Tire rotation. So I protested. He texted back saying his team has been notified, and a new mobile service will be scheduled. OK, totally inconvenient, but I can (still) handle this
8) nobody reaches out to me for the next three days
9) Day four I get the Docusign and full invoice ($354). I email back, I am not paying this, until tire rotation is done. Also, the work order mentioned windshield wipers replaced, but they were NOT (I am not so stupid). No reply, and that email did not bounce back
10) I called. Three times already. Nobody picks up. I leave a voicemail each time. No call backs

At this point, the only thing left to do (I will give them one more week), is show there in person. I will not pay the invoice, until they complete the full work order, as per the invoice. You tell me: am I being sensitive here?

Sorry hear this was so painful. And weird.

my mobile service went pretty smoothly for my ‘25 Air Pure annual service. I did not get tire rotation offered as part of it though. I’ll inquire and see what they say. Mine was comp’d though as I’d had a lengthy service visit prior to that.

It’s great you got charged zero for the first annual maintenance. Tire rotation is cheap locally with any tire shop, so I would normally do that, if I did not have to comply with Lucid lease requirements. My Air is a lease.

Attached is the official maintenance schedule for Air. I would gladly pay the ridiculous $354 they charged for basically nothing if they actually did they said they would do

Ah got it. I have the 20in tires and they are staggered - forgot about that. I’m also leasing so this is helpful. Seems like they did everything on the list that applies to my car.

The service appt signup is quite poor , not sure if the app will acknowledge the appointment and sounds like they didn’t even keep the one you originally set up. Service is in a bad state all over the country it seems. I had a similar Gravity service appt issue where they said it wouldn’t be serviced for 3 weeks and they had no loaners. I said no thanks and left.

I haven't done a service at my (Scottsdale) service center for almost 1-1/2 years. I was shocked by the deterioration of service appointments. I won't repeat my rant. You can read it on the recent postings under

Q1 deliveries much worse than expected

Sounds like that was the mobile tech’s last day!?! Not doing something but saying you did (windshield wipers) is unacceptable!

My car is due for annual maintenance. I checked few times the available days in the app, nothing. As I am really not excited to drive 140 miles to leave my car for few weeks and drive a rental, I am probably not doing it any time soon.

This is the first car that I have to leave for more than few hours for scheduled maintenance. And, it's probably going to be my last, because I don't think I'll stay with Lucid.

It didn't use to be that way. I have had great service from the Scottsdale SC until now. I even wrote a glowing citation for them a year and a half ago. Amazing how the SCs are falling part. Not a good sign for Lucid's future!

Wipers is one thing. Being charged for everything while even the technician acknowledged he never did the tire rotation is another. Which is essentially by far the most important the $354 pays for. Plus never following up. That’s either complete lack of accountability, or giving up altogether. Good luck everyone

I'm now 2.75 years in here in Seattle, and among the (extreme) fortunate side of the luck spectrum here.
I have definitely noticed a drop this year in staff availability, returned calls, etc.
I did just this past Wednesday have the mobile service come to my house to swap my winter wheels for all season.
That went *perfectly* including the technician knowing to rotate them and report tread wear to me without me asking. <$90.
Maybe you can share my experience and ask why the Seattle branch's performance is so much better?
They might have a hard time explaining that, unless the local labor market is the ultimate challenge.

No, that’s terrible service. Don’t pay until they complete everything.

You are very tolerant. I posted recently my experience on my only contact with Tyson's Corner, which was to put it kindly, unacceptable. My experience with the tech at the temporary SC in Mechanicsville since I moved to VA in mid 2024 has been great, including the 24k mile service at the SC because of required wheel alignment. Before moving to VA my experience with the Boston SC for a few months after delivery from the factory, which was riven with incompetence, and then Denver temporary SC for a year or so was great. FWIW, my at invitation go-to at Lucid MC left in Dec after 5 years there.

You would think Lucid leadership would understand the basics of good service. Consistency, efficiency, availability and quality. Just lay down protocols for all service centers to follow.

And don’t fire service employees when you have a new model coming in 9 months. How stupid was that. Wonder what Marc was thinking. Hey, let’s fire all these people, and save a few million. And then we can spend more, to rehire them back again. In the end, you come out behind, accounting for redundancy pay and bad customer service.

He is COO again….

I also have a 2025 AT. I scheduled my first annual service on the app, six weeks or so out I think, at my local Natick service center. I received a text confirming the appointment, and I believe a follow up when it was a few few days out. There was never any mention of mobile service. I’m a couple hours away from the SC, and let them know I planned to wait on site while they did the work (the studio is in a large mall). They had no issues with that.

Moreover, they checked on three issues for which there were outstanding TSCs, including the infamous swaybar, as well as 4 other relatively minor hiccuppy things I had questions about. (this additional list did give them slight pause to their commitment to complete it in a day, but they managed to do it in about 5hrs, including removing a door panel to clean interior felt that was causing a window streak—one item on the list, loud massage motor in the 2 more vigorous settings was confirmed as unusual (though not pressing), and they would need a separate appointment to escalate and dig deeper). All in all, impressive and accommodating.

And I left with no charge at all; I assumed this was all considered part of warranty service (I do seem to recall the annual service was on the list of warranty items…?)

Perhaps they charge for mobile annual service and not for on-site?

It’s so strange how variable all this is in different locations.

Being someone who has been waiting for 3 weeks and counting with my GGT in service, I have been thinking about the reasons for the layoffs in maintenance department a couple months ago that most all of us agree was a boneheaded move. Brainstorming on what factors may have triggered this action I have come up with following scenario. This is all just my WAG (wild ass guess). So last summer with Gravity coming on line and then also various initial problems (fobs, steering wheel, etc.) Lucid decides it needs to staff up its service capacity, so hires new mechanics. Problem is, that they did not also build out or rent additional service space. Maybe they think having two mechanics on each car will help things move faster or other similar justifications for extra staff without extra space. Eventually they realize that they are paying for extra staff to just stand around and hand someone tools. Ideally they could bring on new service space ASAP but that is a time and cost intensive process. So for short term they lay off these extra mechanics. I would dearly hope that Lucid is working overtime to build or rent additional service space.

I recently had my first service on my 2025 Pure. You have t ocall to schedule down here as the app isn't updated. I got a call back a day later for about 2 weeks out from then. I scheduled, they dropped me a loaner at my house and got my car. It was not a mobile service. I picked it up about 5 days later (closer to my office so it was more convenient than to wait for a driver) and paid the $350 and that was that. Couldn't have gone much smoother.

that is a flawless service appointment! I wish mine went the same. Which service center / location?

Miami World Center. I live about 40 minutes from there (with traffic). But it's about 15 minutes from my office in Coral Gables.

What's the infamous sway bar? I must have missed something. Maybe you can point me to the correct thread. Thanks!
