I cannot get my radio ID will not connect to SXM.

My car is a 2022 GT Air
When I bought it (from an 83 year old) with 5900 miles it had not been updated since 2.0.68 and according to Lucid cannot be updated without taking it into the repair shop here. So I am thinking it might have something to do with that….

But also on an interesting note Lucid customer care cannot see the version my car is on AT ALL. To them showing 0.0.1 .

Anyone else had a similar situation?

I have tried button reset
Air reset
TCU UNPLUG

Nadda…. :)

TYIA!

If customer care cannot push the update to you, you will need service to update it for you. There is a very good chance that it will not be covered under warranty since the warranty requires keeping the car updated.

I am paying 1588.00 for the ECU upgrade and also a service to get it caught up... The guys there were very kind to me making sure that my appointment was 1 day before my factory warranty expires.

Good news is I am in the car biz and sell warranties for a living and was able to get a great warranty for my car that is in place for the next 120000 miles. JUUUUUUST IN CASE.

Also... I would gladly pay whatever they asked... I am so thrilled with this car! And as they said the expensive service is 600.00 haha I am so happy with that number! I am used to cars at my dealership that a CHEAP service is 1600.00!!!!! MOST ARE 4000+ Haha So I am happy!~

The team at the Scottsdale service center is really great. I cannot say enough good things about them. I am glad that they are taking care of it for you.

The service director and I have spoken and I have spoken with Josh I believe is his name! Very impressed with their decorum.

Tell me more. I need to buy a warranty for my i7. Was going to use XCare but always entertain options.

Only if the failure to update was a cause of the subsequent claim. But automakers try to always assert that and it will then be up to the customer to prove that the failure to update wasn't the cause of the failure. I think in the case of ICE vehicles, failure to do maintenance is critical and automakers have a good argument. But the maintenance on an EV is pretty minimal. But it is a burden the buyer will have to bear.

Josh was my SA when my car was in to fix an oil leak. He did a great job.
