Hello together,

in the newest edition of "auto motor und sport" is a review of the Lucid Air GT. Since I have all previous versions of this magazine and it is the most respected brand for testing cars, I had the idea to collect all data to compare the trims available for the Lucid Air and share it with you. I don`t have a Lucid, but it could be the successor of our BMW. So I added it as ICE-car.
Greetings from Germany and have a nice christmas-time

Great to see Lucid Air being tested in Germany! Excited about the performance and innovation of these versions.

That’s a really cool idea having all the trims side-by-side with consistent test data is super useful, especially with how different the Lucid versions can feel.

“auto motor und sport” is definitely a solid reference, so combining those results over time should give a pretty realistic comparison. As someone also considering switching from a traditional ICE car, I find those real-world tests more helpful than manufacturer specs.

Would be great to see how the GT compares to Touring/Pure in efficiency and real highway range in your data!

Suspension and road holding is ok but no where near a Porsche Taycan or an Audi e-tron GT. This is something that Lucid should work on because it could be a game changer!

Only if you drive like a lunatic on public roads, you dont need Porsche level of handling for 99% of the people who buy these cars. Their suspension and handling is second to Porsche, but with more famliy friendly space and better efficiency. Also, much cheaper than overpriced Porsche. There is a good reason Porsche sales are dropping like a rock.

I don't think they need to change anything with the suspension. Not every vehicle needs to be a track monster. The Air is a super smooth luxury sedan with a ton of interior room, and still handles better than 99% of EVs in the twisties. Trying to make it perform like a Taycan would cause it to lose a lot of the other advantages it has.

That's the beauty of having different options on the market. The younger buyers who want the highest levels of speed and handling for track days (or unsafe driving on public roads) and who don't care if anyone can fit in the back seat can buy a Taycan.

Then when they mature a bit, and have a family, and recognize that they don't need to be driving like that on public roads (or going to track days) can buy an Air.

I'm 71 - still waiting to mature... :). Hope it never happens!!! Dream Ahead!!!
