Lucid switching to Google Maps?

Hi everyone,
I noticed in a recent video demonstrating Lucid's upcoming AI assistant update a subtle change to the in-car mapping software. There's a very clear google maps logo and it's definitely within the car's native mapping app as shown on the L sidebar. Is Lucid switching over from Here maps to Google? I'm an Air owner and this is a Gravity, so it could also be the case all Gravitys ship with Google maps and I'm unaware, but I cannot find anything about it here or online. It would make more sense from an architecture perspective to enable better AI search, such as that demonstrated in the video, in addition to being a significantly better user experience I imagine. I hope it trickles down to the Air with CCV2. The video is from Kim Java:

Wow, great catch! Google maps would make a huge difference in usability for my Gravity.
All Lucid products currently use HERE maps, a decidedly second-tier solution.

The big upsell for me for Here Maps is the possibility to download offline maps (network is never great here in the PNW) if they move to Google, I hope they’ll keep that option.

Google maps for AAOS has always had the option to download offline maps. And it uses them automatically when necessary - no need to switch to a separate offline mode.

Mostly. It tries to pre-cache the map it thinks you'll need, so it's available when it doesn't have connectivity. But I do still find that I occasionally need to explicitly download an off-line map.

Interesting that he says an AI assistant update should hit the Air in about a month (@ 4:34).

In the video, Dave Flynn (Director of UX/UI) mentions that the Lucid assistant will be coming to the Lucid Air first. He constantly mentioned that. And also mentioned that it will be coming first for the Air in the next few months, whenever that is.

Right, Google maps only automatically downloads an offline map for your home region. It also suggests that you download a map for an upcoming trip. You have to manually download offline maps in general.

However, Google uses those offline maps automatically when needed, without HERE's requirement to explicitly switch to an offline mode and reboot the navigation in progress, then switch back when you have a cell signal again.
