I kind of expected that. They got a lot done between the December and January OTA updates and tben gave themselves two months for the next "major update" . Emad said then that he was running a prototype of Carplay. I'll bet we get this in March sometime.

Have you contacted a Lucid store and they won’t place an order for you or are you looking for placing the order on the website? I would find it terribly disturbing they wouldn’t take a design number and enter a sales order.

Can’t place custom orders on website or with an SA. They paused new orders while they fix the second row. Nick posted on FB that they’ve found a fix and new orders will resume the earliest end of this week, so hopefully in the next couple of days.

Crazy! I would rather have a backlog of orders than hoping someone is going to come back to the store to order. Apple just pushes out delivery dates, but they will be happy to take your money!

I think the realistic path there is to talk to Sigenergy or dcbel, both currently in or nearing beta test. Or Enphase "later in 2026".

I'm a bit confused about the virtue of this Remote Start feature.

Why would I need this, exactly? I press a button in my app, and the car can be driven with no authorization present? Does it also unlock the doors? Can someone literally hop in my car and take off with it at that point?

If I have my phone, I don't need my fob. My phone is my key. (Assuming they ever get mobile key working.)

I must be missing something.

I guess? Feels a little insecure to me. Like, how to do they get back in the car to bring it back to me? They call me and I have to press the button again?

Tesla has a feature where you officially authorize someone else's phone app to your car. That way, they at least need an account and that phone present to drive. And they can get in and out of the car until you revoke access. Seems like a much better way to go.

But I guess for temporary access, like a valet, this isn't so bad? Then again, I'd want other valet features along with it; like not allowing glovebox, frunk access, speed limiter, etc.

I don't know. I guess it's fine. But not exactly a high-priority feature.
 
Maybe another scenario would be if you were on vacation, and someone needed to move your car real quick to another spot for some strange reason. Still seems like the sort of thing I'd use once a year, at best.

Polestar, I just share a key from my wallet to another person’s wallet (Apple phones). Flawless. Up to 5 users. Can take it back anytime.

It's a stupid feature that they shouldn't waste bandwidth and money developing. Honestly, the key as phone thing is a dumb idea that has led to far more complaints than additional buyers.
Much better to get all the basic functionality working rather than introducing geegaws.
