Navigation routing question

Navigation is irritating and rudimentary at this time. Any guesses as to what comes first? Better navigation or Apple CarPlay?
Likely CarPlay. I’d guess they’d have a bigger job fixing the navigation since they’ve been saying CarPlay is a priority for some time now

Reset fixed my navigation traffic display. Turns out it does display real time traffic haha. Unfortunately reset didn’t add any new features like better route planning or charger searching ☹️

And then what you sent to the car actually doesn’t come up in the navigation app, but instead comes up under the Home Screen when you scroll past your home and work locations.
You have just saved me a ton of frustration…. I’ve found them! A few “sent from phone” navigation suggestions under home and work. Thanks!

As tedious as they are, the comparisons to Tesla are inevitable and manifold.

I’m bummed too, no live traffic updates on Lucid Navigation. I was not aware of that until now.
hang on ... I thought it DID do live traffic

phew I see @bunnylebowski has now got live traffic

of course, doesn't mean nav is much better. still sucks

For those of us who don't have our cars yet, how do you reset the navigation display? Is it using the total reset procedure for the car? Thanks.

Mine does live traffic. The problem I need addressed is how to delete destinations on my car's homescreen that were sent to it from the app. I like that I can map out a destination on the app and send it to the car, but there dosen't seem to be a way to get rid of it if I don't need that destination any more. Anyone know how to take care of this?

Switch users always annoyingly does it for me. (If I'm driving and we take my husband's key, if I sent the nav destination early it will show for him, but vanish when I change to me)

But then when it switches back to him, it will show up again. It doesn't clean the memory.

The navigation is, apparently, an off-the-shelf HERE Maps implementation. Probably more difficult/expensive to buy in Google Maps. I'd expect, one day when I have my car and it has CarPlay, just to use that.

Yeah it sucks. Tried to route me down a closed road today, then took 10 minutes to recalculate a new route, so I literally just found the route myself by looking at the damn map while it was trying to figure I out what to do.

But then I took the car down some back roads in upstate NY today driving like a lunatic in sprint and this car is like owning your own private amusement park, it’s just soooo good to drive, so I don’t care about the garbage navigation, I’ll just use Apple Maps.
