I have a weird problem and would appreciate any feedback. Here's the problem:
Over the past six weeks or so, may be a bit longer, I have been getting alerts related to low tire pressure. The recommended tire pressure for these tires is 50PSI. But the alerts tell me that a tire is, say, at 44 and should be looked at. However, here's the problem and why these are fake: most often, these alerts also show the tires that are doing fine. And they show a pressure of 45PSI. I have no idea why a 45PSI would be considered normal, and even if so, why it would qualify as normal, but 44PSI won't. Sometimes, the normal could be 44PSI and the abnormal could be 43PSI. It is NEVER up to 50.
Second, the tire that is considered normal, and the one considered abnormally low, rotates. At times, the driver side front tire is normal and the others are low. At times, both passengers side tires are normal but the other two are low. And these rotate each time I go back and check. Initially, I would check every ten/fifteen minutes. But now, this is so routine and fake that I check it every couple of days.
Through this entire period, there has been NO change in fuel efficiency. No change in drive quality. Everything is fine. It's been especially cold in the northeast and the car has performed admirably. Now it's warming up, and the car is doing well as it usually does.
I contacted Lucid a few times. Roughly speaking, their answer has been "this will probably be fixed by an update." Well, that update has not arrived. This included a mobile support visit by a very nice man who came to fix the frunk, saw the problem, and referred me to "the upgrade."
Has anyone seen this problem?
Another fact:
Many thousand miles ago, I had to replace one tire because it took a nail.
Any help would be much appreciated.
