What’s wrong with your Lucid today?

I drive my air every day and honestly I don’t have any issues, other than occasionally rebooting the software.

My problem today is that my home charger would not charge my car unless I propped up the charger adapter with a 2 x 4 to apply pressure upward for the connection to meet properly. Unfortunately, it’s nonstop for me.

Thank you for your input. It is appreciated. However, I never had to reset my Tesla.

It does sound like a big part of your problem is you are using an adapter on your home charger? That’s kind of a bad plan. You might be happier if you updated your home charger? That’s not really the car’s fault…

And I don’t have to reboot that often. I would guess most everyone on this forum would say that Tesla has better software. And Lucid is a better car for most of us.

My problem today is that I'm waiting for a decision from the legal arbitrator to see if Lucid is forced to buyback my car with the dozens of issues I continue to have, or whether I'll be stuck with a beautiful paperweight for the next 3 years.

I’m really sorry to hear that. I’m kind of feeling the same way. I’m interested in what the steps were for you to pursue this? I would also like to get out of my lease. I have dozens of issues. I finally have given up with my phone connected to the vehicle in any capacity, I have turned off Bluetooth in the car. I wear earbuds to talk on the phone and listen to music from streaming channels. I bought a mount for my phone to use both Apple maps and Waze. You couldn’t have said it any better. This is the most beautiful paperweight I have ever owned. I only have two more years of owning this junk.

Just got it back, headliner falling off, they broke the trunk weatherstrip, roof bow coming off again. Gotta send it back. Again. 3rd time shipped out of state. Going through the buyback process but it takes forever and I’m still paying for it.

Can you tell me how to pursue the return process. They all play dumb like this is the first report of this issue.

Well it’s not a return process because that does not exist. It’s a consumer protection law. It’s in your sales contract or BBB or the Consumer Protection department of your State. In general it’s a Lemon Law request. You have to meet your state’s requirements, Lucid gets the opportunity to offer you a different resolution (usually a credit of some sort), given ample time to fix the car, etc. You can’t request it for issues that haven’t needed extensive repairs or just annoying things you don’t like, for example.

You can request it through service, you’ll get an offer from Lucid, you can accept it or go to arbitration 🤷 I’ve only had to do it one other time with an Infiniti.

Things like buggy CarPlay or Spotify signal issues isn’t a consumer protection case that’s just the reality of cars these days. When the car is unavailable to use for long periods of time due to being in the shop for repair, that’s a case.

It would seem that lucid quality control is all over the map, with some people having multiple issues and others having nearly none. Perhaps there might be an underlying problem of early builds vs later ones as a friend of mine who got an early Gravity has had many issues while I have had just a few minor hiccups. My first Air GT was very early production and went through a front motor and two batteries among other issues before settling down. Lastly there may be a human component. Some people roll with the punches while others scream over a paper cut. I’m not trying to minimize what some people are truly going through but there is probably a vast middle ground of some problems that the owner takes in stride or blows a gasket over. It’s just human nature.

It’s a spectrum. I was okay with a scratch from service. I was not okay with the headliner hanging by a wire and the trunk trim broken 🤷

Anyways supposedly they’re sending a new tech out to fix the issue for real. 🤷
