Lucid Gravity next improvements wish list

How about REALLY fixing Live View? Updated iOS app as well this morning, and still Live View failed 4 out of 5 times. Car connected at home via WiFi, car locks/unlocks via the app. But Live View fails and fails, then works, then fails and then fails.

Also saw a message that Live View won't work if car is unlocked. That's weird.

So far, neither of the two things I've tried after the update have worked. I'll withhold ranting until I try a few more things, but it's not looking good and the social media hype on this release seems premature at best.

I had updated my Lucid Motors app and had to re-login, yet Live View still didn't work 4/7 times.

But, my wife went to use Live View - and it worked on her phone!

So, I deleted the app from my phone, reinstalled from scratch, and now it works!

Update #2: Wife drove to the market in town.

Live View is back to not working even though the app is clearly connected to the car through the server.

I know this has been posted before, so sorry for repeating, but mine works 100% of the time when the phone has Wi-Fi off.

Confirm the WiFi problem. I don’t get 100% success over cellular, though. It’s still pretty flaky. I just filed the following bug report to [email protected]:

Subject: 3.4.1 bug: Live view doesn’t work over WiFi and general flakiness

VIN: ———
Software version: 3.4.1
Apple Lucid App version: 2.13.0
Time: 2/7/2026 9:00 am PST

Live view doesn’t work when both my iPhone 15 Pro Max and Gravity are connected to my home WiFi.

Live view works when I turn off WiFi on my iPhone, which forces the communication to go over cellular. Live view has also worked when both the Gravity and iPhone were off WiFi.

Even with cellular, though, live view is hit or miss. Many times it will either get stuck in “connecting…” or end with “connection failed.”

Things are improving, though. This latest update for both the Gravity and Lucid App was the first time Live View worked at all for me.

It worked the one time I tried on my wife’s phone and then the one time I tried on my phone after reinstalling the app. Both car and app on WiFi.

Now car went to market, so cellular there, and doesn’t work. App still on WiFi.

New request:

When adjusting the rear HVAC temp/fans from the front, let me use the physical buttons when on the rear HVAC screen. Adjusting on the touch screen is painful. Also, give me a single 'sync all' button that would apply to all 4 zones easily.

Any other screen displayed, the physical buttons should control front HVAC.

Which window to you mount the Starlink to?
I got a shorter (2M) power cord. Had a roll of Velcro tape that just folds over and adheres to itself, cut a few strips, and closed the TV tray onto it. Holds well and it's thin enough that it shouldn't hurt the tray closure. Works for cord management with just enough slack to fully open the door. So far signal is good on the window.

3.16 Dynamic Range? Wow 😲
That's unicorn territory 🙂

Love it!!!

I'd come up with something cleaner if it were a permanent setup, but I'm only planning on putting the Starlink up for road trips (which we do every 2 months). Our road trips avg 2000+ miles, so 2-3 long drive days. This is enough to keep it tidy for those. It's usually just 2 of us so nobody will be in the 2nd row, just the cooler and stuff.

We haven't done a road trip in it yet. So far it's just light around-home driving, mostly city with some highway. Sill only 715 miles on the odometer.

That'll change in the 2nd half of the year when it becomes the road trip car (we still have 4 more months of free EA in the Macan). We average about 12k road trip miles/year, and only about 3k locally (we're retired). I am curious what our road trip MPK will be. I'm guessing ~2.8 in warm weather. I do have the 450 range trim (small wheels, 5 seat).

And an integrated SXM antenna so we're not stuck with frequently dropping internet streaming.
Or a workaround for flaky internet and dead zones... extra large buffering capacity. Like, an hour's worth. Music and podcasts don't really need to be live. Give us more download capability and long-buffers directly on the car screen so when the internet signal gets lost for 2 minutes... 10 minutes... 30 minutes... it just keeps seamlessly playing from the buffer.

One things I really miss from my Mach-E that I'd love to see in my Gravity is a Stations Presets screen for the audio system, that can mix all sources. I could mix AM, FM, SXM, and other stations onto the same list. And the steering wheel Seek button would dependably switch between all those presets.

Seems like an obvious thing, really.

Wi-Fi still broken here too. worked for a few days after first installing 3.4.1 (as in the car would regularly appear on the house LAN). But not visible there recently. I tried messing around with some firewall settings on the home OpenWRT router for both car and phone, but that didn't help.

I have a service center appt. today. ("two timing" frunk, tire droning noise) and I'll mention it to them again so it's logged.

Went through all the posts in this "Lucid Gravity next improvements wish list" topic.

Suggestions are all worthwhile but I have to note how minor they are. Things must be going well when your most compelling suggestion is to increase the display font size !

Seems like Lucid has REALLY fixed the Gravity!

Any dissenters?

Some, but not mine
