Had a suspension clunk, wanted to schedule mobile service.

The app worked fine and showed dates (!)

I emailed for mobile and got a reply in less than 24 hours (!!)

Repair scheduled for end of month no problem (!!!)

Whatever their strategy is seems to be working!

Depends where you are.

Washington area service
BH is so backed up it’s not funny. Takes them weeks to do basic jobs that Audi, BMW etc. would do in a day or so.

If they’ve got this much back up with 2 low volume cars I pity the technicians when the midsize drops.

The AZ service center is currently slammed. I had a mobile tech come out in December, just before my warranty expired on Jan 20th, to address four specific issues. Despite his claims that they were fixed, the failures were still obvious right in front of him. He told me I’d need to go into the SC to fix them, but he never actually initiated that process.

When I called on Jan 10th to follow up, the earliest opening was the 27th. Shockingly, because that date fell after my expiration, Lucid actually had to 'seek an exception' to honor the warranty, even though these were pre-existing, documented issues they failed to fix the first time.

I dropped the car off, but they’re out of loaners (only Enterprise rentals available), and my car hasn't been touched yet. I even offered to reschedule for a time when the queue was shorter and a loaner was available, but they refused because of the 'warranty exception' window. While I was dropping off my car, I expressed my concerns with the mobile tech. I was told they aren’t even offering mobile service at this time because they no longer have any mobile technicians.

Not giving me the warm and fuzzies having this car now that it’s past warranty.

What issues were you having?

My first mobile tech experience was awful too, hopefully this one is better. Suspension knock from the shock tower I think.

So I've been thinking about Lucid Service in the coming year. Right now they are trying to provide a very premium level of service with mixed success (e.g. service vans to your driveway or driveway pickup for service center support).

How do they plan to scale this to include servicing presumably a much larger number of $50k midsize cars? Or are they going to do something different?

1) The passenger door handle won’t wake the car but the others do. This was an overall improvement though as they had to replace all 4 door handles previously.

2) the window shades got stuck in the up position which meant I could roll down the back windows but no the shades.

3) the driver seat was getting halfway into position and stopping for easy entry.

4) the steering wheel buttons were starting to go bad. Certain clicks were not working 100% the time

Secret mobile app fix for robustness?

If this is true, the lack of mobile service in Phoenix is concerning. Most of my service here has been handled via mobile, and I believe the Scottsdale mobile team also supports New Mexico, so it’s unclear what the options would be for owners there. If mobile service is currently unavailable, hopefully this is only a temporary situation.

I don't have the numbers but based on my visuals Arizona is a huge market for Lucid. I live in Scottsdale and I see at least one Lucid on every trip I take.

My Air GT was in service (Tysons, July 2023 thru Dec 2025) 7 times with 5 handle replacements (all 4 doors affected, and that 5 count is not counting that on the last of those visits the replacement handle was replaced before the car was returned to me) for the exact same problem... the latest work has (finally) corrected the problem and all four door handles now wake the car as expected.

My drivers door handle doesn't wake the car, is it supposed to?!? That would be great!

I just noticed that my new glass roof they put on (they broke the old one during a different repair) is bubbling up on the edges and starting to lift, so I guess its going in to the shop anyways. Maybe I can have them replace the door handle why they're at it.

So I understand, if I have walk away and walk up lock/unlock disabled, it should wake the car up when I press the handle in?

They’re made there aren’t they?
Yes they are. There seems to be some disagreement here about the Scottsdale service center:

My drivers door handle doesn't wake the car, is it supposed to?!? ...
Yes, all 4 should wake the car up when pressed (with the passive unlock disabled such that it does not wake just because a key is present, it waits for pressing in the handle).

So I understand, if I have walk away and walk up lock/unlock disabled, it should wake the car up when I press the handle in?
Yes. The "walk away lock" setting doesn't matter, just the "walk up & unlock" setting being disabled.

Yep. I waited 2 months for an appointment at BH and they promptly parked the car in a garage. When I asked about status... won't look at the car for 3 weeks. 70 people ahead of you. No mobile option. Woefully understaffed for the LA area.
